Why do people block you instead of just thumbing down your answer if they disagree with you?

Is it maturity level or simply they don't want to hear anything that they don't agree with? I feel I gave an honest opinon of how people are and it was not rude or mean. Here is the link to her question: What do you think? I was able to back space to get it.

Update:

Thank you all for your opinions and kindness. I appreciate all of you. You are all right. I just checked and now she has unblocked me. Have a good weekend.

I have no idea why she blocked you. Your answer was good and seemed helpful!

Just tell yourself she meant to click "Add Contact" and hit the "Block" button by accident :)

So far, the only people who blocked me are trolls I called out (which I find hilarious, by the way). Why you were blocked is a mystery to me, however. You're neither rude nor off the point.

I don't know why anybody blocks anyone to be honest, unless they were spamming or harrassing. People on this site are such hypocrites, they ask questions and don't want to hear other point of views. the truth hurts, I guess.

    Hello,

To me its a childish situation; whaaaaaaaaaaaaah! I don't like what you say so I'm taking my marbles and going home!

    Cheers,

    I never blocked anyone.

    Truthfully, I would know how.

Don't worry about it. You know the classic line "It's not you, it's me"? It's not you, it's her.

Your answer was thoughtful and reasonable, IMNSHO.
