1-The Germans wanted a place in the Sun. Meaning that they wanted a vast empire like the British. The British were one of the first nations to industrialized but by the early 20th century the Germans were outproducing Britain in steel and Germany had the second larger Navy in Europe,after that of Great Britain. The Germans also had some colonies in Africa and Asia. This threaten British power so they built up their navy to protect their empire which was the largest during the time.
2-nationalism is what threaten both the Ottomans and Austrian-Hungarian. These two empires were made up of many different ethnicity's, many of who wanted to break alway from the empire and make their own nation.
3-Schlieffen Plan was simply a plan from the Germans, that if war broke out with France and Russia. Germany would quickly overran France and take Paris and then the Russians would be slow to mobilized and than the Germans could take Concentrated on Russia only. It nearly work in the beginning of WWI.
4-The war started in 1914 and ended in 1918.
4-Bolsheviks and Mensheviks both were communist but believe in different way's of Communism. The Bolsheviks believe that a small group of Communist should take control of the Government, mainly communist leaders, While the mensheviks believe the people of the Community of Communism should take control of the government.

The Biolsheviks believed that professional revolutionaries should establish a dictatorship.The Mensheviks believed that a much more broadly based alliance of anti Czarist groups should form a constitutional government.
