Just BHC or preterm labor?

Okay, so a little background first, I am 34 1/2 weeks pregnant for the 3rd time, but only 2nd child. For the past 2 weeks I have been having an INSANE amount of pelvic pressure, called the doctor last Monday she said try Tylenol, more water, and bed rest. Did that for 2 days still didn't help, I called back she told me to go in, so I did. I was 10 % effaced and the outside of my cervix was one but inside still closed. Also I was told I was contracting every 8-10 minutes but I wasn't feeling a thing other than the pressure until this past Sunday when I was having contractions every 10 minutes but found no reason to time them since I was told no need to return to L&D unless they were every 5 minutes or less. So I blew it off. Went for my regular check up on this past Tuesday and was yelled at by my doctor for not going in Sunday. And she said if I have anymore 10 minutes apart or less to go in. Well it's the middle of the night but for the past 18 hours this crazy intense pressure is back and today accompanied by yet again more contractions. I timed them for 1 1/2 hours and had 14 contractions. They are SUPER irregular though not like they were on Sunday. For example 4 minutes, and it lasted 12 seconds, then 9:30 minutes and it lasted 19 seconds. Anywhere from every 4-10 minutes lasting from 8-23 seconds. It is also accompanied but a low dull backache. Just wondering if I should go back to bed and try to sleep it off or go on into the hospital?!? Thanks in Advance!

Update:

I forgot to add at my appointment on Tuesday 6 days after my hospital visit I went from 10% effaced to 50%

It really is best to cover all bases and be safe. Go to the hospital. It's a total pain in the **** when it turns out to be nothing but if it's not and you see your baby hooked up to tubes and stuff because you blew it off it'll kill you a little bit inside. It absolutely could be nothing but the fact of the matter is you just don't know and you cant be sure until you're checked. It is so so so much better to go in, be checked and told "No you're fine" than to blow it off and have your water break in an hour and be in a far more serious predicament.

Please go in and get checked out. It's no big deal compared to what could happen.

Good luck with everything. I hope it's nothing :)

Drink an 8 oz glass of water then empty your bladder, walk around or if you are not allowed to just change positions constantly. If contractions intensify after this, it's not b.h. If they ease it is. If they intensify and become regular and are 10 min apart go back to the hospital. Good luck!

i think you should go to the hospital when i had my son at 34 weeks the nurse gave me hell for overlooking the back ache the day before and the pains that day lol..day i went into labour they were irregular throughout the day, then got regular around suppertime, if you've had braxton hicks before and im sure you have you will know if they are painful for you and you will know that this is different if it is
