How long does it take for a tongue piercing to heal?
I'm getting my wisdom teeth out today. The procedure should take at most an hour and forty-five minutes. Will it stay open that long for my mom (since I'll be out of it from anesthesia) to put it back in? If not, what should I do? And i put my long taper in because my mouth will be swollen.
Oh, I've also had my tongue pierced for six months, if that makes a difference.
My tongue is all ready pierced.. I'm just wondering if it'll close within the 2 hours I'll be in oral surgery.

You should be fine. I'd had my tongue pierced for a year and a half before I went in to hospital to have my son and I had to take it out for a day and a half. It went back in just fine.
I don't think it's really significant how long you've had it pierced for though because when it's healed, it's healed. It'll never close up fully I don't think, but it would get too small to put your bar back in after a time. Though like I said, I was a day and a half and I had no bother getting it back in again after I came out of hospital.
