flea treatment for cats?
Hi there,
I'm just wanting some advice on the best flea treatment (preventative) for cats in the UK! Our cats go outdoors into our garden and we have been told by cat protection to treat them every 3 months but I am unsure oif which brand to go for. I was told by cat protection that the Bob Martin one is pretty useless. Thanks.

buy frontline for cats its around £20 for 3 months supply, you can buy it in lloyds pharmacy and some supermarkets sell it now or buy online even cheaper £10 from medicanimal or nutrecare

I have recently got a rescue cat and took her to the vet for check up etc. Was told the flea treatments you can buy in shops are usually not that good and can be irritating on the cat's sensitive skin, so best to buy the one recommended by the vet. Also only need to use for the summer months, May - Aug or Sept at most, not a problem in winter. Hope that helps. x

Any good quality one either from Pet Smart or the vet. I'm afraid you can usually tell the quality from the price! I wouldn't do it as often as they advise - it is poison, after all. I have found it is enough to do it from late spring thru to beginning of autumn. The fleas are not usually a problem during the winter.
