Why, Oh Why, would our Military Leave Hundreds of Millions of Dollars worth of equipment in war torn areas?

It has been reported that our government would leave hundreds of millions of dollars worth of top of the line in military equipment in the war torn areas rather than bring it back to the US. And now we want to know what would or could prompt an ***-en-ine decision like that. Our country is going through one of the toughest financial depressions in decades. Did anyone ever consider bringing it all back and auction it all off to the public rather then leave it in the enemies hands to reverse engineer our technology to bring other militarize up to our capability, DA.

Makes one wonder who is running the store and if they were possibly hired from Toys Are US.

Now we all understand why our country is in the shape it's in. This is but a small drop in the bucket as to why we are in the shape we are in. May God Help Us.

Are you done with your tirade? Good,, now relax and take a breath. Did you read the entire article? Why bring back 300,000 dollars worth of air conditioners, refrigerators, tools and other non-military stuff when it would have cost the military over 600,000 dollars just to haul it back? Think about it for a moment. We saved the military money here.

Congress is cutting defense spending to the very bone. Any way we can shave off another quarter penny of cost we have to do because there is only so much money going around. It was the right call over stuff that mostly would have ended up in a dump anyway.

Ever since reviewing (skeptically) the "other" story behind WTC9/11 i can tell you that i dont believe a single thing that is reported in the Main Stream Media these days. Not one word. I keep an open mind and review everything and anything. Trash is Trash and Genuine is Genuine. Look at the following video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZEvA8BCoBw and tell me if it is complete Trash. Truth is simple.

The US Army are the Armed Thugs of the Bankers and other Goons who run the world from behind the curtains. I cant understand why they are so greedy after things. Instead of enjoying life they hoard. If they think think they are keeping all of this for their children, then they better teach their children about the value of the stuff they are hoarding. Most money/stuff that comes easy, Goes easy. If you slog for something, you might see some value behind it. What you accumulate your Child may sell or squander.

What ever the situation might be everybody needs to know that each one of these guys are going to die and become dust. So why chase after a "future" and why hold on to a "past". Enjoy your life. Hug one other. Make love. Preach peace. Practice birth control and share your stuff.

Because it will cost the taxpayers even more to ship it home-millions of dollars. If auctioned off to the public, it may not all sell, so it's cheaper to leave it then ship it home and most likely not compensate the cost of shipping in an auction. All of the sensitive material is removed from everything before it's left and some of it may even be thoroughly destroyed. Try looking at the problem from *all* points of view before coming to the conclusion that it's a stupid decision.

What we are talking about "leaving" which in reality is selling, are worn out vehicles and outdated equipment for the fledgling Afghan and Iraqi forces to use. We aren't selling or leaving any "top of the line" or classified equipment or weapons systems.

You do realize that we regularly do this for our NATO and hemisphere allies right?

Wish people would look past the headlines and actually READ the story and try to understand what is really going on.

More expensive to move and relocate the hardware, and the military does not want to risk personnel in such a retrieval process.

It costs more money than the items are worth.

Would you rather bring back guns that are rusted and worn out for a cost of $100,000,000 or buy new ones for $90,000,000.

    Fail Liberal is fail.

Because the military needs to justify their budget to buy more
