How easy is it to get pregnant?

When I was a teenager we were constantly lectured about how important it is do not have unprotected sex & how easy it is to get pregnant. There were at least five girls at my school who accidentally fell pregnant. Now I'm 20 & my partner & I had unpro sex three times last week but I got my period today. When I did an internet search I found heaps of forums with woman writing on them about how they are trying to get pregnant & how they have to time it perfectly with their cycles etc. So if it's not possible to get prego a week before your period (apparently only possible one week out of each month), why did we have it drummed into us at school. The message was "it only takes once." I kind of feel like we were lied to a bit & have been making my partner wear condoms for years every time for nothing. (I can't oral contraceptive pill, side effects are too bad). Which is the truth, is it hard to get pregnant or not?

I definitely reccomend it and i'm sure that will help you! Just remember that ovulating occurs about two weeks before your period, if you have a regular cycle. There are also some things you can do to help determine whether you are close to, ovulating, or not close.

    Use this method to:

    - Get Pregnant Quickly and Naturally Within 2 Months

    - Give Birth to Healthy Babies

    - Improve the Quality of Your Life Dramatically !

    - Reverse Both Female and Male Infertility Issues

It is extremely easy to fall pregnant but only while ovulating. That being said some women have issues getting pregnant due to poor egg growth, lumps on their uterus, weight issues and other health issues. If the male has a low sperm count it can be difficult to conceive too.

Personally I was sexually active for 5 years (and not always safe) and never had a suspected pregnancy but then met my partner and the first day we had sex I fell pregnant.

If you have trouble on the pill there are other options. The implant or marina are much better for women who have negative side effects from the pill. I have the marina and have none of the issues I has while on the pill.

This all depends on the individual. We are all different. And what works for one may not the next.It really has to do with many things but one important factor is the timing of ovulation. That plays an important role in the whole process. You could have other problems with fertilization,as goes with your partner as well. I would see a doctor that can better explain all this in more depth with you if interested.Good luck to you and I hope this helps..
