The fact is that both Knox and Sollecito have never given a honest and unambiguous account of their movements on the night of the murder. Knox initially claimed to be at the scene of the crime but blamed an innocent man, Patrick Lumumba, for the killing. Her statements to the police have always been incoherent and rambling, intentionally so, I believe, in order to deflect attention from the truth. Sollecito, we must recall, gave three different alibis, none of which stood up. This case should continue to haunt both of their lives like a bad smell. I wonder what will happen to Sollecito if the acquittal decision is reversed by a Higher Court?

Rudy Guede, a local thief who broke into the flat. His DNA was found both on and inside Kercher's body, including a bloody handprint on the pillow. He was already arrested for being complicit in the murder, and is currently serving 16 years in prison.

Rudy Guede DNA was all over Kercher. He is serving 16 years for her death. His sentence was reduced because he claims after him and Kercher had sex, he went into the bathroom. He heard talking, peeked out the door and saw Knox and Sollecito killing Kercher. Stupid story but that was his.

UK man here
Amanda Knox has spend 4 yrs in prison for a crime she didn't commit. No DNA. The Italian police messed things up - as the world expected them to - because they are culturally and scientifically deficient.
Thoughts go out to Meredith, but Amanda won justice today.

In my opinion, I don't think Amanda Knox killed her. I think she put the blame on the other guy for it because she was scared. What people fail to acknowledge was that she was found guilty of falsly accusing him of doing it. BUT I think she knows who did it. The fault for the verdict lies entirely on the Italian police for messing up the evidence and making way too many mistakes.

Rudy Guede
If you think the guardian is a tabloid, that does not care if the stuff they print is true. You have been proved correct!

That's the million dollar question and at least two people know for sure, but sadly one is dead.
