Does anyone else notice the similarity between the President and Congress and an auto-repair shop?

I can't for the life of me recall an instance when they fixed something without breaking something else. Can someone show an example when it didn't work that way? Truly curious.

You draw a very good analogy! But I'm on the side of the auto-repair shops, they tend to be a little more knowledgeable then Congress and positively much more knowledgeable then the impostor for a President currently occupying the White House!

I don't know the precise answer. But, if you ponder the words of Will Rogers: "When I make a joke it's a laugh. When Congress makes a joke it is a law" you may start to discern the answer.

Haha. I've been thinking for a few minutes, and I can't remember a time when something didn't get f***ed up once the politicians got involved... It's an almost-automatic scandal when one of those twerps sticks his/her nose into a matter. They never solve anything - we survive in SPITE of them. not BECAUSE of them.

At least Congress is doing its job by cutting spending... If this keeps up your president will get elected all over again, and then who are you going to blame????

i'm not well informed of history so i cannot answer your second question but YES, these "governing" bodies do seem to be something of a "fix it" machine.

improve, improve, improve! "building" the "building" (earth is considered a "house"). so, the "house" is being "built" but who can really say what is becoming of it and how it compares from yesterday to today.

    The Taxpayers get rear ended.

We need to add "corrupt, crooked and lying" to auto repair shop.... Then it would fit pretty good. One shop actually was sabotaging my truck!
