Is it appropriate for a woman to ask a man out?

I'm interested in a man at my job. I'm transferring to work at a different job this coming Wednesday. I don't know a lot about him but I want to.

If I come up and ask him out, what would he think? how do I do it? And where do we go? And who pays? (I don't mind paying).

Men.. HELP!

    It's inappropriate for a woman to not ask a man out, if she likes him. And both should pay.

    We're done with chivalry. We're doing equality now. But those who want to burden men with all of the rejection risks need to make up for it in other areas.
