Where to eat in disney for couples?

My husband and I are going to disney in February 2012 and will be staying on site (port Orleans French quarter). It is my first time in disney and we are trying to figure out where to eat (we are planning to stay in disney the entire time of our trip (6 days)).

We have a reasonable expectation on pricing but we would like some moderate suggestions as well (if there is such a thing in disney).

Much appreciation for any suggestions!!

Thank you!

Jym's Top-7 Best Moderately Priced* Disney Restaurants for Couples:

    7. Kona Cafe (Poly)

    6. Olivia's (Old Key West)

    5. Wolfgang Puck Cafe (Downtown Dis)

    4. Coral Reef (Ep)

    3. Tusker House (AK)

    2. Grand Floridian Cafe (Grand Floridian)

    1. Sanaa (AK Kidani)

*http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm list the menus and relatively current prices. This will give you an idea of what is "moderate pricing" at Disney.

Also, the Disney Dining Plan really isn't a very good value. It used to be but it's not anymore.

Any of the restaurants in the World Showcase are great. Lunch time will be less expensive than dinner. Morocco has great food, music & a belly dancer. The atmosphere is lovely. Mexico is romantic, with the dimmed lights & the water. The Coral Reef is expensive, but very nice. Sanaa at Kidani Village has floor to ceiling windows where you can watch the animals. The Animal Kingdom Lodge has Boma's, which is a great buffet. Across the hall is Jiko's. The walls change colors, depicting the African sunset. 'Ohana has abundant food & great atmosphere. You can watch the Wishes fireworks from the restaurant or the beach on the evenings they have them. I find The Brown Derby at Hollywood Studios to be more for adults. It is pricey. The Cobb Salad is excellent. Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom is a very good buffet. If you dine there for lunch you get priority seating at Finding Nemo: the Musical. The Crystal Palace is one of my favorites. It's beautiful & the food is very good. Of course, with the Winnie the Pooh characters there are lots of kids. We love to have breakfast here, but their other meals are good too. When dining at a Disney resort make sure to allow time for travel, since you'll need to take your resort bus to the Transportation & Ticket Center & change buses there. Bon Appetit.

If I were you I would look into the Moderate dining plan...

    http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/planning-guides/i...

it will save you TONS of money in the long run...

my friend and I are 18 and going to Port orleans riverside in November 2011, we bought the meal plan

basically you get 1 nice restauraunt, and then 1 sit down restauraunt (Where they serve burgers, or chicken nuggets, hot dogs, sandwhiches... lunch foods) and 1 snack per day...

for the snack, wait until you get back to your resort, go to the food court and get an ice cream sunday... theyre HUGE and sooo yummy :P

it saves you SO much money...

    here is the restauraunts

    http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/listing/

In Magic Kingdom I would suggest Tony`s (Italian food, supposed to be the restauraunt from Lady and the Tramp) its my favourite restauraunt

In Epcot... there are so many, I would chose Bistro de Paris, Coral reef, Les Chefs de France, Via Napoli or Tutto Italia Ristorante

those are the more romantic restauraunts in Epcot... if you like sea food go to coral reef... also it looks like your in an aquarium :P (they do have non-sea food entrees)

theres not really a romantic restauraunt in Animal Kingdom

in Holywood Studios you can go to Brown derby (Which isnt on the meal plan) or Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano its not SUPER romantic... but the food is great :P

    Downtown Disney:

Wolfgang Puck-OMG such good food! you will love it!

Fultons crab house is also available, but not on the plan

Tony`s, IMO is your best bet... great food, great atmosphere... but if you dislike younger kids (Which I dont think you do, since your going to Disney :P) then dont go there... it is a family restauraunt, although if you go at like 8:00 it might be more romantic :P

    `

Hope you have TONS of fun! :)

if you have any more questions, just email me... (My link is on my page) :P

I've never had a bad character dinner--and my kids are 8, 5 and nearly 2, so I've been to a lot of them!

That said, here are my favorite character dining venues:

    1) Crystal Palace, Magic Kingdom. Winnie the Pooh and his friends, and the restaurant itself is gorgeous.

    2) Chef Mickey's, Contemporary Resort. I like breakfast better than dinner.

    3) Princess Storybook (Akershus), in Epcot in the Norway area. Lots of princesses, and again the restaurant is nice looking. I prefer lunch or dinner because the food is so much more interesting.

There are many and i guess you already know that but I can't exactly suggest one restaurant, I'd recommend going to the disney world website, they have a list of all the restaurants and pricing and the phone numbers you need to make a reservation. hope it helps, have fun:)
