Is this safe to drink?
Rummaging around the basement and I came across a bottle of Sam Adams Triple Bock from 1995.
I went to open it and the cork sort of crumbled into pieces.
My wife is giving me dirty looks, but I poured it in a glass and am ready to drink.
To placate my wife, I agreed to turn to yahoo answers.
Should I drink it?
Well, I had two sips. First taste (and majority of the smell) was like soy sauce.
Then it had a chocolatey taste to it, then a taste of coffee.
I dumped the rest down the drain.

I'm a home brewer and here's what i follow for safety: Pour it and if it has any weird texture than its bad. if it smells bad don't drink it and if it tastes bad spit it out.

When in doubt, throw it out.
I'd say be careful. Shine a light into it to examine it, and also make sure it doesn't smell bad or have a strange texture.
