Your question is fair warning to the general public reading this....The OVERALL IMPORTANCE OF DRINKING WATER****...No need for me to reiterate your RBC count....Your question states THE FACTS.......Suprised that the hospital, did not do the LITHOTRIPSY PROCEDURE....Self explained on web & VIDEO SEE BELOW..........Not eating OR not drinking has it's own health HAZARDS, as you are discovering....Any mention of diet restrictions ?? Namely cheese reductions and so on?? At your doctors office do ask for a sheet of FULL FOODS NOT** TO BE CONSUMED, as certain foods CONTRIBUTE to MANIFESTING OF A KIDNEY STONE.....KEEP HYDRATED, that is the only means of ridding yourself of this stone. I've never had one, but my dad has passed several kidney stones. From what I was told later, I'm glad I wasn't there. Imagine trying to pee out a cherry pit and that's probably close.

He STILL is religious about drinking cranberry juice every day 20 years later, even though he doesn't like the stuff, just on the off chance of being able to prevent another one. That's how bad it was.

No way to force it out before it is ready to go. If the urine retention gets bad enough, they can stick a Foley catheter up there to drain urine out for you, though. There is a treatment to pulverize stones with sonic waves. Perfectly normal for a doctor to prescribe pain killers for this condition. Very painful, and they know that.

What did the doctor tell you to do if this happened? Any doc treating you would have seen this point coming soon and should have prepared you for it.

Don't stick things up there to pull it out, you'll get an infection and might puncture something important in the process.

A physician needs to be involved with you more closely right now. I don't like the lost fluid and electrolytes, and I don't like the sounds of the urine retention in light of the amount of fluids you've consumed. Bladder cramping/spasms, too. Expect it to hurt like a sonnofabitchhh, honey. It's just going to, but it won't kill you. The other symptoms are more troubling, and a potentially bad problem, especially the urine retention if it goes on for too long. Time for a doctor consult, sweetie, then do what they tell you to do. I suspect there may be another ER visit in your future.

I get kidney stones at least once a yr. 3mm is very small so you should be able to pass it in a few days or maybe a week, drink lots of lemon juice if you can or mix it with some water, it may help dissolve it. i have had 13mm stones before, those are the ones to worry about. had to have those broken up
