Am I right for not wanting to work there?
I was told to come for an interview at 2PM at a McDonalds, but when I got there the person who was supposed to interview me wasn't there. Other people (not workers there) told me maybe the person was busy and had to leave or something. Why not call me to tell me they were going to leave?
I was thinking of calling the place and asking why the person wasn't there and if they treat people who want to work there I don't want to. Is that bad to do that? Am I burning bridges?
I know it's for McDonalds, but I really need a job!

That is just wrong... Apply at retail stores. I know many places are hiring for the holidays and im sure youll get higher pay. Dont bother with mcdonalds, unless u wanna blow off some steam you can complaine to their district manager or reginal director. I think that would make u feel better:)

No, you definitely don't want to work for someone who doesn't have enough respect to let you know they wouldn't be there or have someone else to relay the message. I don't work at McDonalds, but I've heard some pretty horrible things about them treating employees badly. First of all, my boyfriend and I went there one night to get a coffee drink, the young lady (probably like 16) that help me was on her first night of the job, she didn't know how to make it and he trainer was no where in site and no one else was willing to help her. It was making me pretty made to have to watch her struggle. And I know a teenager who recently got a job there and they would make her work past time she was scheduled to mop the floors and stuff, while her mom sat out in the car waiting for her. They treated her almost like they were initiating her or some sort of hazing. I don't know. I would try Chick-fil-a. They always have nice courtsey staff and it seems like a nice place for a younger person to work :D
hope that helps and make a bit of sense.

If you want the job then call and ask to reschedule the appointment. If you call with an attitude of how dare you do that to me, you will most certainly not get the interview or the job.

You sound way too arrogant to be seriously considered for any position. An interviewer is not a robot. He/she is a human being who might have a sudden emergency to attend to or suddenly summoned by a more senior person to go to another location

Things happen - if it happens once, that might be ok, if it happens again, that the time to be concerned. Part of resiliency is not letting little things bother you.
