  • Why do yahoo answers users repeat other users answers word for word?

I see this a lot a user will answer a question and a little while later another user will just copy and paste the previous answer.

    Ex:

User 1: It would be best to apologize to your friend and write an apology letter.

User 2: It would be best to apologize to your friend and write an apology letter.

Also is this a reportable violation or is it just people being annoying?

  • Why do teenagers like random Halloween costumes?

I was just wondering why teenagers like random costumes. Is it because they don't want to look too dressed up or over the top?

  • Is this illegal to ask on a job application in the USA?

I found this on an application for a thrift store.

    "Statement of Applicant’s Christian Faith:

Because (name of store) is committed to Christian service, we are

concerned that our employees also be committed to this perspective. When an individual begins

employment, he/she is expected to sign a Service Covenant, which is a statement of Christian

faith and a pledge to accept the responsibility of serving Christ at (name of store). Part of this

responsibility includes a commitment to live a lifestyle consistent with the values of (name of store) and the principles contained in The Bible.

Please take a moment to answer the following questions, which will help us evaluate our compatibility.

We appreciate and thank you for sharing your thoughts with us."

They also ask if the applicant attends church, the name of the church, name of pastor, if the applicant is involved in the church or other religious activities, and a Christian Testimony and Experience.

Is this illegal or not because it is a Christan thrift store?

  • Am I right for not wanting to work there?

I was told to come for an interview at 2PM at a McDonalds, but when I got there the person who was supposed to interview me wasn't there. Other people (not workers there) told me maybe the person was busy and had to leave or something. Why not call me to tell me they were going to leave?

I was thinking of calling the place and asking why the person wasn't there and if they treat people who want to work there I don't want to. Is that bad to do that? Am I burning bridges?

I know it's for McDonalds, but I really need a job!

  • What does this question mean?

I recently went to a job interview and was asked this question. "What would you do if there were children running loose in the store". I was a partner interview so the other girl answered to get the manger. But that doesn't sound right to me. I didn't know i never worked in a store before. What answer were they really looking for?

  • Why do employers ask for pictures?

I noticed on a lot of job posting employers are asking for recent pictures or physical descriptions. Could it be that these people are not familiar with way hiring is done in the USA? The jobs are not for modeling or acting jobs. Should I submit a picture or is it not safe?

  • Was this unprofessional?

I went to a job interview and the guy interviewing me wasn't really paying attention to me, but instead was making small talk to the other workers? Was this rude on his part? Or was it me?

  • Is this Halloween costume idea scary?

I was thinking about dressing up as a nun, but a living statue one. I was going to stand really still and then scare people. Is this a good idea for a costume?

  • Should I dump this friend?

I have this friend after high school she moved away but we kept in touch but we have been losing touch ever since. She told me she was coming to visit me but never came. She never gave me a reason or apology why she didn't come. She has flaked out out me many times before. I felt this was the last straw. Should I dump her?
