Why are christians often associated with poor education and intelligence?

Because they don't want to believe Christians can be smart and have higher education. They think in order to believe in ANY deity you have to be stupid. Too bad THEY are the ones showing ignorance and intolerance with those comments.

Because arguing on that basis is an ad hominem logical fallacy -- but not enough people are educated on these types of arguments and tend to repeat them.

There are highly intelligent Christians and other religious people, and there are highly intellgient atheists, and likewise, in all groups, there are some extremely stupid and uneducated people, as well.

If your in 9th grade, soon you'll probably learn that Christianity was made by the higher and followed by the lower classes of society during Roman times.

Stereotypes do have a basis in truth you know...I mean, black people tend to like fried chicken (along with practically everyone else), Jewish people tend to be wealthy (there are three Jews on the top ten richest people in the world list), and so on...
