Kuroshitsuji manga questions?
Thinking of buying the mangas, & it's obviously going to take quite some time to read. But I understand that nothing of the season 2 anime or the end of season 1 was canon to the books? I wonder if the mangaka let the animation studio make up their own characters & plot, or maybe if she told them this was the way she currently was intending to end the series when the time came, though it seems the manga is still going.
I like spoilers & I'll probably forget most of them, so tell me what the big differences are between the manga & anime. Was the anime just pandering to fangirls?

The first few episodes of the anime are the same as the manga, with minor changes made to them. I think that the reason they changed the anime was because the manga was either too far ahead for them to be bothered to animate (lazy people...) or the series had caught up to the manga and they had to make up the ending.
I think they probably did talk to Toboso Yana (Mangaka) to see how she wanted the series to play out, and they probably took a few ideas that would fit into an 'original plot'
Sorry I couldn't be much help, but you can probably find out more on Wikipedia or a similar site.
