Thinking of buying the mangas, & it's obviously going to take quite some time to read. But I understand that nothing of the season 2 anime or the end of season 1 was canon to the books? I wonder if the mangaka let the animation studio make up their own characters & plot, or maybe if she told them this was the way she currently was intending to end the series when the time came, though it seems the manga is still going.

I like spoilers & I'll probably forget most of them, so tell me what the big differences are between the manga & anime. Was the anime just pandering to fangirls?

Please also tell me if the dub or sub is funnier. Something that's not just occasionally funny, but funny all the time.

I could use a little non-stop laughter, but to avoid getting stuff I've already seen, I'll list them.

*Excel Saga (funny in all languages, manga kinda sucks).

*Photon: The Idiot Adventures (The bad dub amplifies the humor sixfold).

*Master of Mosquiton 99 (Fansubed. Not to be confused with the parallel universe movies).

*Jungle wa Itsumo Hale nochi Guu (Hare + Guu in America, better subbed).

*Juubei-Chan season 1 (Avoid season 2 & the dub like the plague).

*Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro Chan (Avoid season 2 like your life depended on it).

*I remember Happy Lesson being pretty damn funny.

*Ebichu (It's so very very wrong....so wrong....).

*Nekojiru Genkijou (It's a morbid comedy).

*Any of the "Takashi Taniguchi" shorts. (So full of WTF).

*Colorful (even girls think it's funny, dub isn't bad).

*Goldenboy & MSA Abenobashi are a little too ecchi & in poor taste, but they have their moments.

*Great Teacher Onizuka.

*Gokudo: Swordsman Extraordinaire (I think the dubb was okay, maybe?)

*Gokusen (The live action J-drama was terrible).

*Full Metal Panic Fumoffu (dub was great).

*Perfect Girl Revolution (aka The Wallflower aka Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge).

*Kodomo no Omocha (aka Kodocha).

Yeah, two of the funniest series I've ever seen had critically horrendous sequels that diverged heavily from the original.

Looking for a long series, 10 volumes/40 episodes at the very very least. All I can find anymore is harem, prissy girly angsty romance, & run-of-the-mill shounen; I'd like to get away from that. There's an overwhelming amount of stuff out, so I just have to ask.

*Adventure, traveling, fighting, villains, maybe some mystery, horror, or fantasy, a strong plot & not just a string of randomness.

*A relationship is not the focal point of the plot.

*No boy-girl or girl-girl romance; that's so cliche & boring. Bromance (light yaoi or extremely close friends) is fine.

*Limited or nonexistant T&A.

*If the girl is the or a main character, she should be strong & proud like a lion, not dainty & gentle like a kitten.

*Helps a lot if the art style is more feminine & less sinewy.

You don't have to hate them, hell you can love them, but man, they still disappointed you.

I'm looking for a soup recipe that uses all 3 of these things for a pregnant friend. She wants to try one with chicken & one that's vegetarian. Naturally, I'll be doing the cooking, but when I look online for recipes, I'm not finding anything that uses all of them.

So last week my uncle dragged a bag of smelly garbage across the wood floow that leaked & left a reek.

I sprayed the floor with a can of lemon scented wood polish & steam-mopped it. Now the floor is squeaky clean; too squeaky, & a little slick, so slick you can't step on a mat or wear slippers or socks without falling on your ***.

We figured the floor would quiet down as it got dirty, but it still makes that squeegy-on-glass noise when you rub a hand or foot over it. One of my roommates thinks her washing the steam mop's cloth in Downy has something to do with it, another thinks it's the wood polish.

I remember that it differed from the book. Livesey, Smollett, & Trelawney try to kill Hawkins & either Jim or Silver or both kill all three of them. The rest of the movie is Silver & Hawkins vs another band of pirates.

I'm trying to incorporate my treatment for skin burns into something people eating spicy chilies can swish in their mouth, but as I have no tolerance for even black pepper, I can't try this myself.

The skin treatment requires mixing aloe gel with water in a large bowl & emptying a bag of black & green tea into it & keeping your hand in there for a bit. It actually works.

For the mouthwash version, it would be better to use milk instead of water because of the Capsaicin, & one of those aloe drinks they sell in asian supermarkets & mix those with the tea leaf shreds. It can also be tried without the aloe drink.

If anyone is willing to try this, tell me how it worked out.

You can get fined for for swearing in public? All video games with a rating higher than PG-13 are banned? Porn can't have flat-chested women because it suggests pedophilia?

I guess one of my country's dumber laws is jailing people for possession of marijuana; a drug that apparently doesn't kill but just makes you numb, lazy, & hungry. Cigarettes on the other hand? Fine, just don't some em in public. Kinda like how we sell cars that can go faster than the fastest speed limit: it's not necessary, you can't legally use that speed, so don't even advertise that it can go that fast.

My cats have been getting sick on even the most expensive brands of commercial cat food, like Wellness & Natural Balance. Many people & a few vets told me that veggies & grains are very bad for kitties over time (cancer, digestive problems, obesity, dandruff, diarrhea, coughing, etc.) & that vets will still sell the stuff because they are funded by pet food companies.

So I was suggested to make my own cat food if I cannot find a commercially sold veggie/fruit/grain/lactose-free raw diet. They also really pushed the raw part & said to stop leaving out a bowl dry food. The price of meat has reportedly gone up 300% where I live (not sure I believe that), but I'm tired of my cats dying for heath reasons before they even reach 10. I've already lost 4, though one was snatched up by a roosting hawk that had been taking neighbors small dogs.

Well you guys helped me pick Bamboo Blade, Black Cat, & D.Gray Man for my queue, but I still need my "more of the same" fix. I'm going to compare some stuff & if it rings a bell, name a show.

Yu-Yu Hakusho, GetBackers, Hunter x Hunter, Slayers, & Gensoumaden Saiyuki.

1)A band of four or more people traveling, getting into a lot of fights.

2)Most of the main characters have an obscure family history, a messed-up family or at least a scary older sibling they avoid like the plague, or are orphans.

3)Two of the characters are an asshole with a dark past, & a super-clingy happy idiot. The other two are a quiet secretive guy often lost in thought & a guy who looks like a chick who uses a rope-like weapon.

4)Some of them contain old woman who looks impossibly young & cute who trains at least one of the characters. (Maria, Genkai, Bisque, Kanzeon sorta counts).

5)All the series have the creepy good-looking false-lead villain who at some point tags along with the heroes & even fights alongside them. This guy is always smiling & always looking for fun, but he is undefeatable in combat & has a strange interest in one of the people he's following. (YYH had Karasu, but made the mistake of killing him off almost immediately). (Xellos, Akabane, Hazel, Ni Jian-Yi, Hisoka).

6)The story itself is blatantly inspired by mythology, Lord of the Rings/D&D, or Dragonball.

7)The series has very suggestive UST, but no romance.

So what fighting magical anime do you know with an asshole/*****, a genki moron, a quiet guy, a bishounen, & a cute creep?

I'll mention that I've already seen Dragonball/Z/GT, Sorcerous Stabber Orphen, Dragon Half, Bakuretsu Hunter (Sorcerer Hunters), Gokudo, & Master of Mosquiton 99; which all have some of those traits.

It's a Dungeons & Dragonsesque fantasy anime with 5 seasons, & a ton of movies & OAV mini series, & I can't remember which one had the episode where Lina finally lives up to her reputation as the "Dragon Spooker."

I remember there was this guy who tried to send his dragons against Lina, but they were terrified of the rumors about her.
