Teaching in Korea for a year. Cheaper to buy a suit there or here in the U.S.?

What else should I buy here before I leave in February to save money?

I'll probably be in Busan or Seoul, possibly even outside of Tokyo, Japan.

My best bet would have to be for you to buy it here in America, Cheaper and also it's better quality than if you would buy it in Korea.

I have a lot of friends who have worked in/around Seoul and the the one thing they always come back with are tailor made suits. From what I've been told, if you can find yourself a good tailor (try the A-Towns outside of military bases) you can grab a custom suit tailor made to you for less than an off the rack one in the states (like <$100). If you have a time crunch you might want to just play it safe and buy one before leaving however.

Since you're only going to be there for one year, I'd say buy it here. It takes a while to get comfortable and find out where good clothing places are, plus, most clothes in Korea are super small, so if you're of average US build, you probably won't be able to buy many things off the rack in Korea.

As far as other items to save money, I'd mainly recommend personal items and foods. Your favorite brand of deodorant, toothpaste, etc. and favorite foods, like peanut butter, certain beans and nuts, candies like twizzlers, etc.

Buy it at home. There's no point to buy it in Korea... it'll cost about the same, or more depending on where you go. Korea is very fashionable, and most of the clothes I've gotten in Korea are just like mall prices in the States, or slightly above (just in won). Japan is just as fashionable, so I'd imagine it's the same.

Target for certain. If youre gonna be rather affordable, cross to bonton or boscovs. You will even cross to walmart, I acquired a bikini there as soon as, however simplest seeing that I used to be determined and wanted one on the final moment. xoxo, A.
