What's the stupidest thing you ever heard someone say regarding guns?

On a form or in person.

I don't have one but the tops are:

It's illegal to own a gun inside philadelphia city limits.

"combat" loads have more powder loaded in them [I know there higher pressure the guy who said didn't know what he was talking about]

You need a hunting license to buy a rifle or shotgun in philadelphia.

You have to be 21 to buy rifles and shotguns in philadelphia

You have to have a permit [or license] to buy a gun in philadelphia

"I very anti-gun and think only cops and military should have guns, but I like to go the shooting range and shoot when I in the poconos."

"If you push a gun forward when you shoot it, the bullet goes two times faster"

"If you put a scope on any rifle it makes it pin point accurate regardless"

You don't have to show ID to buy a gun at Wal-Mart

Cheap guns should be illegal because poor people shouldn't own guns.

"9" is a gun manufacturer.

If a gun is "plastic" then it's based off the Glock design. So it can be called a Glock. [Even tough it says Smith & Wesson in big letters on the slide.]

State game lands that have there trails and such kept by the sales of hunting and fishing licenses should not be allowed to be hunt and fished on.

Update:

** I wish I could give the "Mr. Jones thought the revolver was unloaded because he pulled the clip out" comment more then one thumbs up.

Update 2:

Keoni- That is one of the things that pisses me off also. Just because you own a shotgun doesn't mean you know how to fight with one. I had to correct so many people with this and show thema thing or two.

"they make a 9mm desert eagle"

"you can put any bullet in an uzi and it will fire, even a .22 and 9mm at the same time"

"my dad has an 85 caliber sniper rifle"

"my .22 has too much recoil"

i was at cabelas and a kid takes an 870 off the rack and says "hey wheres the mag to this?"

"guns can be used to kill someone so they're a weapon, but cars are safe and cannot kill someone"

i asked a kid if he owns any guns he says back "airsoft can kill a person, i own 3 of those"

One fool asked if he could shoot any thing other than 12 gauge in a 12 gauge. Also the difference in a 22 short and a 22 long rifle.

And keep all guns empty in storage. Good idea but still any gun picked up should be treated as loaded until YOU check the action your self. For the shake of safety!

After a day of hunting doves i walked into a maverick with my dad and still had my shell vest on, this idiot liberal chick walked up to us and started claiming how it was illegal for me to be carrying around ''shotgun bullet shells''. After we were levaing she saw me moving my shotgun to make some rooom and she freaked out again. Went on for a few minutes before we just left.

    More-

''Cops use glocks so citizens can't own them''

''A revolver can fire automatticly if you hold down the trigger''

''You can sharpen a pencil with a .22 rifle barrel''

'' I have a deagle my dad will let me use to kill zombies''

    Ugh.

    "9" is a gun manufacturer.

    LOL.

If a gun is "plastic" then it's based off the Glock design. So it can be called a Glock. [Even tough it says Smith & Wesson in big letters on the slide.]

I wish that is true. then my Hi Point would be a Glock! (the gun I want but can't afford).

I don't like it when people go to the gun store and talk about the "assault rifles". here in California we prefer the term "evil black rifle" instead. if you don't know what is an EBR then you don't know what you're talking about. obviously if you don't live in CA, EBR's don't matter since your state isn't stupid enough to categorize guns by how they look.

When your hand a Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, or Revolver of yours to someone and they ask you the following question; " Is it Loaded? " instead of them checking for themselves whether the Firearm is loaded, or not they proceed to dry-fire it, or point it at something before checking to see if its loaded, or not.* People who Believe that they need to apply for, pay a Fee, or pay a Transfer Fee, or you have to have a transfer of ownership and pay a Fee, or have to purchase a Handgun Permit for a Handgun before they can carry it concealed, or to carry it openly.* I Guess those people don't Believe in the U. S. Constitution especially the 2nd Amendment or a Natural Innate Right, or God Given Right to Protect, and Defend Themselves from serious Bodily Injury, or Death.* Why People Believe, and Think they need a Federal, State, County, or Local Governments Permission, or Approval before doing so is beyond me.*

In the Dark Tower book series by Stephen King, he mentions a ".44 Ruger automatic pistol." He must not have done his research, since Ruger never made such a gun.

How about "The 9mm won't protect you"?

I worked with a guy who said he could shoot a quarter at 100 yds dead center every time.

That a .45 Colt cartridge is loaded to significantly higher pressures than a .410 shotshell. So much so, that a .45 colt will blow up a .410 shotgun just because of the operating pressure.

When the media labels a spree killer or the like a sniper because they shot someone at a slight distance.

Or when just about everyone on this sight asks questions about joining the military thinking they can pretty much walk in as a sniper because they are a 'good shot'.

I cant think of one specific thing. But people who obviously obtain their knowledge from the call of duty games just PISS ME OFF!!! i love and play cod, but what i know i learned from personal experience.

These kids always say stuff like "when i turn 13 my dads gonna buy me a mini UZI with a red dot sight and extended mags and red tiger camo!!!"

"Glocks can be snuck through a metal detector because they're plastic"

Any time a COD fanboy/mall ninja calls a Desert Eagle a "Deagle"

I do enjoy seeing said fanboys waltz into the range with a Desert Eagle to show off and have it jam over and over
