is there a version of iworks for the pc?
i want to be able to create graphs on my pc and then upload them to my ipad to put in to keynote. will open office allow me to do that. or at least the ipad be able to read the file format coming from the pc?

No, Apple does not make PC versions of its software.
However iWorks is nothing but a clone of the Microsoft Office program. (In fact Microsoft actually released parts of the Office program for the Apple a year before it was released for the PC.)
If you do not want to spend hundreds of dollars for MS Office, you can try the free clone called Open Office. It comes in both a Windows and MAC version. http://openoffice.org/

There are 3 versions of iWorks for PC
They are called Microsoft Office, OpenOffice.org and Libre Office
While the first one costs anywhere from $100 to over $500, the other 2 are 100% free.

Hi, I am not sure but when u save ur files try and save it in .doc file format and then Windows users can open them. I use Linux and have had a Mac, but I used to use Open Office on it thats why I can't be of much help. Good Luck and take care!
