Who uses the term "over-educated" more, conservatives or liberals?

Does anyone find the term "over-educated" offensive? I mean, shouldn't learning be a life-long process in which one actively seeks out knowledge? When is one "over-educated," when one would rather read Marlowe than watch Glenn Beck, when one decides to learn "too many" foreign languages? Is it only in a country where ignorance is valued that one finds the term "over-educated"? You can't be over-educated. You can be over-qualified, but never over-educated! Why are we so scornful of learning for learning's sake?

Not sure who uses the term more - but it's being used to highlight 'class' and economic differences. The concept is that many who are elected have lived elite lifestyles such that they are disconnected with what life is like for the average person.

"Education Is Not the Filling of a Pail, But the Lighting of a Fire."

Let me guess, a quote from a politician? Politicians love ignorance.

Education is only worth as much as the curriculum.
