Questions about the illuminati?

It's a myth, it doesn't exist. The Illuminati existed for a brief period of time in 1776 in Europe. It was an intellectual club of free thinkers. Nothing more.

The current notion of the Illuminati is a fiction created by authors to sell books - lots and lots of books.

The eye on the dollar bill is Eye of Providence - a symbol as old as time. It isn't an illuminati sign because the Illuminati don't exist. It is considered one, after the fact - someone created the myth of the Illuminati, said the symbol belonged to them and voila instant conspiracy theory: "The official interpretation is that the pyramid represents strength and durability. It's incomplete because so is the work of building the nation. The eye in the triangle is the all-seeing eye of providence. "

Ask yourself this: why would any organisation kill their cash cow musicians? Why are only musicians targeted? Claiming they all sold their souls to this (btw you can't sell your soul) organisation to be famous arrogantly dismisses the hard work the artists put in to be famous. Not everyone is a Snookie and fell into fame.

Anyone who takes the ravings of Jackson seriously needs to rethink things. Jackson was seriously ill and paranoid because of mental illness. There is no mystery there, just sad tragic reality. Sometimes people get sick and go off the rails. In Jackson's case too many blood suckers kept feeding into his fantasy world so they could maintain a lifestyle they didn't earn. Jackson was $$ to his family and no one helped him. There is no evil cabal, just sad reality.

You seem to have heard about various conspiracy theories. I think you might have heard to many angles to this Illuminati story that you are trying to combine and make sense of.

First thing is just ignore the Jay Z part. That's a interesting story, it gives mystique to his personality but i highly doubt this to be factual. Just because a rapper might be singing about one thing or the other doesn't mean it should be taken for face value. Maybe he just likes to use Illuminati allusions as part of his art. I think the guy is a smart business man. He managed to reinvest the money he made from being a mere entertainer into profitable enterprises. I don't think he needed some secret society to tap him on the shoulder.

The Illuminati (plural of Latin illuminatus, "enlightened") were a group of Bavarian Jesuits monks who thought their way of worship was the correct way to worship, thus they were the illuminated (enlightened) ones.

Briefly they rose to popularity and it became a fad for everyone who was anyone back then to claim to be an illuminated one, even nobles and royal courtesans were claiming to be members. Like all fads, they died out.

Some people confuse the illuminati with the Free Masons. They were not the same, and a connection between them never existed. The Freemasons were the stone cutters who studied mathematics and discovered how to build church's and castles out of stone without the ceilings falling down and killing everyone inside the buildings. This knowledge gave them a lot of influence with church officials and kings. If you wanted a castle or church built, you needed them.

The Free Masons protected their knowledge so they could retain the favor of the church and kings. That protection by the Stone Cutters Guild is the source of the beliefs today that they have secret rites and powers, etc.
