Is Cameron daft enough to wage war on Iran?

With the unnecessary war on Libya and the quickish ending, where next for the armchair warrior brigade? They are happy to cut our NHS, armed forces, pensions, education funding, benefits and everything else, but still also happy to stop us protesting, having opinions (turning into Nazi Germany or Stalinist Russia lately) and yet to go to war on other countries. Do you think Cameron will be stupid enough to threaten and join in with any military action against Iran?

You mark my words, if the idiot does, then we are all dead and I don't think we deserve that!

In spite of what people may think, any war against Iran is going to be a seaborne war.

Two major warships, Queen Elizabeth Class carriers are under construction on the Clyde. They will be ready for sea trials in c2016.

So, by my thinking, sometime in c2016 - 2018 will probably be about right to go and do a war. It's what we're good at.

Have you ever heard of the expression, Perfidious Albion? This next link will help explain, and please forget all you may have heard about the Americans not liking the British and the British not liking the Americans - this is a partnership with serious intent.

And did you also know that UK is the world's second largest arms manufacturer? And that HM Royal Dockyard Portsmouth is the world's largest Military-Industrial Complex? It's all true.

    Bash on.

  • I think Cameron and all of them are lazy very lazy and want to keep up the middle east arms race going why would they stop it when nations in the middle east are all spending over 7% of their GDP on the military. I am including Israel in this mad middle east arms race by the way. The only reason i think they keep up this is they fear if there was a real peace in the middle east they would lose out on billions of pounds Dolloars and Rubles in arms deals every year. If you think of it right now if all the middle east states were spending the same sort of GDP percentage on the military as say the US it would cut out over 99 billion dollars of military spending a year.

I personnly don't know what is with the UK the US and Israel when it comes to Iran. The UK happens to have nations in the commonwetlh that do deals every single day of the week with Israel and with Iran. Why has he not got onto them members of the commonwealth to talk to Iran and Israel is beyond me. If i was PM I would have been doing just that in fact i would be on the phone to them nations leaders to help sort out this every single day and yet quiteness from Israel the US and the UK on getting others who are not hated by the two to talk so why in all that is holy not is it because they think no African leader cares of the prospect of world war three and would not do everything he are she could to prevent it happening.

Iran has the third largest oil reserves in the world. That would make it a natural target for western aggression even without Ahmadinejad's apparent nuclear ambitions. I'm not sure that the world is ready for another "weapons of mass destruction" debacle though. If Cameron announces in Parliament that Iran is capable of launching a nuclear attack on this country within 45 minutes I for one will be taking it with a very large pinch of salt.

Who knows. He tells you one lie after another doesn't he. Started just before the last general election and has carried on with that right the way through even though he didn't win an outright majority. I expect anything from him if he, his family or his cronies who have shares in oil companies or arms companies pay enough into his politcal party plus it making him a bit of money. Perhaps he is just after the title of King Bliar II. As I said, who knows?

Dont think I read the Guardian!but in the library the other day my eye could not help spotting their headline that implied Britain and America were going to attack Iran, along with Israel. I think there is every chance Israel might have an air strike. We wont declare.War. War hasnt been declared on anyone since 1939.as far as I know.

I think that whatever he wants to do with regard to Iran, there is no spare capacity left within the armed forces to send any troops anywhere else. Theres also the fact that he is in coalition and the LibDems just wouldn't allow it.

If you look at the geography of Iran (sandwiched between Iraq & Afghanistan) it could have been their main intention for decades.

why do you think he and other politicians have allowed so many asians /muslims to move into Britain

he is hoping the Iran will not bomb their fellow muzzies - Iran will

Cameron is risking civil unrest if he continues his policies , Greece also tried to cut their way out of a recession and it made it worse
