Do computer (hardware) fan controllers work with all types of fans?
I'm thinking of purchasing a fan controller for my PC, but I wasn't sure if it would work with my computer. I have a custom built PC and the primary fans I was looking to control were the case fans and the CPU cooler fan. I half a HAF-932 case (default fans) and a Scythe Mugen Rev.B Heatsink w/one fan. Would a controller work with the fans I have or do only specific types work with controllers?
Controllers I was looking at purchasing are listed here:

any of those controllers will work with just about any 12 volt PC fan - myself, I would look for a fan speed control that was reliant upon the temperature of the device being cooled.
The thought of fritzing about with manual speed controls, when I have many better things to do, fills me with antipathy.

Personnally, i think fan controllers are worthless love to have the fans run full to get the maxium cooling effect, from what was told to me that from one of my pc buddies that it work for a while then problems start with the humming then the fans fail ,maybe he got a bad controller.
