Cameron has 'full confidence' in Teresa May,didn't he have 'full confidence' in Liam Fox ?
Maybe I am missing something but when politicians say they have full confidence in one of their colleagues it usually ends up with the person in whom they had full confidence getting the sack
Until I read all the answers from Y/A readers and contributors I didn't realise how disliked she is. My distaste stems from the fact that she seems to be just another incompetent ranter like her fellow Parliamentarian Ms. Harman
David H you make a good point but it seems there is a lot more to come out from under the stones. Politicians love scapegoats and they have sloping shoulders when it comes to their responsibility. She is supposedly in charge at the Home Office so the buck stops with her as they say.Of course the days when politicians accepted that premise are long gone.
According to the latest media reports it seems May has screwed up again but the more stones that get turned over the more it looks like she is to blame for the whole thing.I don't like to agree with Yvette Cooper (Mrs.Balls) but May is the Home Secretary so it's down to her.

Yes he did, and David Laws and Andy Coulson, just as Blair had 'full confidence' in Stephan Byers, Peter Mandelson, Gordon Brown and Ian Blair, just as all the LibDems had 'full confidence' in leader Charles Kennedy even though they all knew he was a falling down drunk.
It is all about face, about never admitting you could be wrong and protecting your cronies. Nor is it confined to politicians, it is exactly the same knee jerk reaction of denial and cover-up which allowed paedophile priests to get away with their depravity, which stops the police properly investigating their own inappropriate activity, which stops local councils and quangos admitting mistakes, which stops meaningful education reform and which drives governments to continuously repeat the same failed policies again and again.

Good god I hope so. Utterly vile woman, and since Liam Fox left the cabinet, she's become my least favourite cabinet minister.
Whether you agree with the "Occupy" movement or not - the fact that she was so determined to strip the British public of the right to peaceful protest on the back of it is something I cannot believe hasn't been met with more anger.
She is *openly* homophobic.
Bear in mind, this is the same woman who pretended that you couldn't deport somebody if they had a cat. An utter, obvious lie.
David Cameron was criticised over his links with Andy Coulson, and rightly so - but I can't say that his appointment of Theresa May is any better.
The sooner that revolting woman is removed from a position of power the better.

He was prepared to say he had full confidence in Liam Fox until he felt that public (and media) opinion demanded Fox had to go - that is normal in politics. In the case of Theresa May I think she will survive by making sure the blame sits fair and squarely on one of the bosses in the Border and Immigration Service - can't see her taking responsibility for the foul up.

I have full confidence - that Ms May will not be around much longer. I wish I had the same confidence about Cameron and all the cronies in his despotic government.

Great isn't it? I can't wait for him to tell us he has "full confidence" in himself and the rest of the greed infested and corrupt ministers in this government. With any luck he will start with himself and his lap dummy Clegg. I know he isn't in the same parties as those two but do you think we might get him to express his "full confidence" in the Milipede as well?lol. If he did and they all went at least the Houses of Parliament might smell a bit better don't you think?lol.

Quite right - but these are 2 different issues.
Liam Fox told lies and 'got found out' at a later stage........he had to go.!!
Teresa May is dealing with a 'rouge' departmental head - who took it on himself to 'miss the point' of a TM directive - and that 'rouge' dept: head caused all the trouble/damage.
When ministers 'delegate' to appointed dept: heads - the ministers will always hope their directive is followed in full......in this case it seems it wasn't.
Example....Should John Terry 'ever play' for his club/england again ?.....the wording is supposed to be...............innocent until 'proven' guilty.!!

The PM has full confidence that the Home Secretary knew all about the scheme to reduce queues at airports and seaports and that she will weasel her way out of any responsibility for the scheme that she endorsed.

Strange - I was just thinking the same thing. Come to think of it, I think he had "full confidence" in David Laws as well...
I give her a week at most :-)

I've had my fingers and thumbs covered with cat nip, Teresa is not spelt Theresa, I am glad to clearly make and I await at Park Farm Industrial Estate, Folkestone.
Edit
My sources tell me I was right first time and now my waiting is over (you can keep the mad birds).
