AF after mirena?????

After my Mirena was removed, it took about 3 weeks for AF to show. Since, I have had 1 long cycle that I don't think I ovulated. I asked my OB/GYN and she said that it is very common to take up to 3 cycles after removal to even start ovulating.

I just got my smiley this afternoon and I'm hopefully looking forward to Thanksgiving this year!

Not entirely sure what AF means. I had my IUD removed a week ago because we would like another child. From what ive seen on the net. The IUD doesnt affect hormones it pretty much just stops things from getting in and out so in theory when it is removed you can get pregnant as soon as you are ovulating. Ive looked at lots of websites and its mostly all positive, people have fallen pregnant very quickly, some have taken years, I think other factors including weight and health have also contributed to the people that still arnt pregnant after years of trying after IUD removal. Tests usually take atleast 2 weeks to show anything and you get the most accurate result when you pee first thing in the morning. You are allowed to begin TTC straight away after UID removal
