Hornady actually makes and anti-zombie round?

Update:

I just lost some respect for Hornady. They go half @ss and make an non-reloadable 7.62x54R but make a anti-zombie round.

Update 2:

How long is it going to be on the Shelf? I might get a box as a collectible.

I can't find anyone who carries it. Any word on price? Availability? Or is this like "April Fool's" for Halloween? They say "No human being, plant, animal, vegetable or mineral should ever be shot with Hornady® Zombie Max™ ammunition. It is for Zombies Only" So how are you supposed to sight-in with it, practice, or check groups for accuracy? @ Mike: I checked Cabela's, Bass Pro, and Cheaper Than Dirt AS WELL AS Google: shopping. All within 30 seconds. Get with the times, indeed.

From the descriptions im ready its just a V-Max bullet with a green tip... maybe a bit different in construction.

Im buying 2 boxes of it. 1 to set on a shelf and giggle at the other to do some testing and see how it performs on the squirrels... Around me here its about $3-$4 less than that standard V-max ammo so if it works just as good ill just shoot the Z-max stuff

yeah. i learned about this about 2 months ago.

its just a normal v-max round with a green tip, ridiculous box and marked way, way up.

I have no interest in it, if I wanted from "zombie" ammo I'd just load some up on the cheap.

in fact, I have some already, and they're probably better anti-zombie rounds than what Hornady claims.

@ ***** : I actually have silver bullets for my .44 Magnum & .500 S&W Magnum. the .44 Magnum features a 40% silver bullet with a aluminum core. the .500 Magnum features a silver-lead jacket with a aluminum core. for sh!ts & giggles. I was gonna make gold bullets too if gold isn't so high right now.

    That’s hilarious!!

One of my grandsons age about 5 is constantly asking me if I have something for zombies. I assured him gramps had some serious firepower for the living dead. This summer some of my granddaughters helped me paint some gallon milk jugs like a zombie heads and we filled them with red dyed water. With their ear plugs in they were delighted to see what different guns I had did to them.

This whole zombie thing shows how much influence the media has on people. If it’s that simple to convince people there is a danger of a zombie apocalypse, just imagine how much the media can manipulate political and social issues. That’s disconcerting!

Hornady makes good stuff so I have no doubt those will work on zombies lol.

You must of been gone awhile...

We have had several discussions about this ammo here. Im buying 60 rounds of oo buckshot after Xmas when I have a little extra $

Why you ask?I want to shoot 10 rounds and save the other 50 so I can sell it for a profit in 10-15 years when this stuff is rare.

You're about three weeks late. I for one think its kind of cool and am actually going to town to get some tomorrow to mess around with. In Hornady's defense, it is cheaper than their V-MAX lineup (At least the 223 is.)

Yah, honestly its kind of an expensive joke but I appreciate the joke. If it is going to grind up human tissue then you could essentially use it as a carry round. I'll stick with black talons though because its a proved man stopper.

That's funny. I wonder if they dip them in pigs blood?

I am going to have to buy some since it is made for brain dead parasites that feed off of the living as they hang around on street corners

    Source(s): Law enforcement since 1987.

it's essentially a V-max bullet with a green tip, it's just a halloween gag they made up for jokes, nothing special.
