A couple questions regarding the All-Star Game?

http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_daddy/post/H...

1) Should Crosby/Marc Staal be on the ballot right now?

2) Here's Boston's entries: Thomas, Chara, Krejci, Lucic, Horton, and Bergeron... Do you agree with it?

3) Do you think any players will make it via write-in votes? Who?

4) How funny will it be when Kessel takes a pic of Ovie when he gets picked before him?

    1) No. Even though he hasn't played this year, I would be surprised if Crosby wasn't voted in. If you haven't played, your not an all star. Thats just like in baseball, Josh Hamilton who was injured most of the year was voted into the all star game. We don't need that type of embarrassment in hockey.

    2) Yeah, I agree with it. There's a lot of players, it's not like there all getting in.

    3) No, all the best players are on the list.

    4) That would be the greatest moment in all star game history. (Hey, can you think of any other great moments from the all star game?)

    1. No Crosby shouldnt be in the votes because hes injured and isnt an allstar this season (doesnt matter what he did in the past either). Marc Staal is NOT an allstar, actually hes nowhere close to being one, hes an average run of the mill defensive defencmen, he shouldnt sniff the allstar game EVER.

    2. Thomas, yes 100% hes one of the best goalies in the league. Chara for sure I agree with, he is an elite all around defencmen he sould be there. Lucic er no, hes a good player but hes not an allstar, not by a long shot. Same goes for Horton, Bergeron, Krejci, no business for them to be ther

    3. I have no idea

    4. Call me crazy but Kessel is far more talented then Ovie is (better speed, lethal shot, can score goals in a variety of different plays, much better vision too). The reason WHY Ovie has been better in his career is because he has an elite playmaker on his arm, Kessel has Bozak, nuff said.

    1. No! Crosby hasn't played in over a year. Similar situation with Malkin. The ballots are based on bias, not actually stats and playing ability as of now.

    2. I agree with Thomas, Chara, Lucic and Bergeron. Iffy on Horton and Krejic

    3. hmm, hard to say. But it'd be super cool/really weird if Chimers got written in and accepted. He's had an amazing season so far and he has super speedy legs.

    4. No comment...

  • 1) No. They can always be added after the starters are selected. If either player comes back they can get added.

    2) Bergeron is a bit of a stretch...Thomas and Chara are complete no-brainers. I'm on the fence about Horton, Krejci, and Lucic.

    3) MTL and PIT fans seem to be the best at ballot-box stuffing...

    4) Given the popularity contest that is the draft, I wouldn't be shocked to see Kessel (who is socially awkward and very introverted- not a bad guy by any stretch but very introverted) get passed over again. Plus, if a Senators player is one of the team "captains" no chance they'll pick a Leaf.

1.) No. If you don't play, then you don't go to the All Star Game. Same goes for Jeff Carter. Don't know why he's on there.

2.) I agree with Lucic, Krejci, Thomas and Bergeron. Personally, i think Chara is super over-rated.

    3.) No

    4.) LOL

    1) No. They havent played all year. What if they come back and aren't good? You know crosby will get votes, the way Yao gets votes in the NBA even though he is injured

    2) Why Krejci?? and Where's Seguin...

    3) Biznasty2point0 lol

    1) No. Crosby is iffy, but I think he should just stick to playing with his team for now. Give someone else a chance to be an all star.

    2) No to Krejci and Bergeron

    3) Seguin and M.A. Bergeron

    4) Hmm?

    1. No. Both haven't played all season. All-Stars are determined by their "all-star" performance in the first half of the season. How would we know if they've had "all-star" performances when they haven't even played? What a joke! There's a difference between 'superstars' and 'all-stars.'

    2. Yes

    3. No

    4. Funny. I doubt that will happen though....hah....
