Private agreement letter in divorce?
My wife and I bought a house while married. I am selling it and she agreed to write a private agreement letter stating that any profit made from the selling goes to me. Will this letter be accepted by the court? (Texas)
Well we don't have lawyers that is why I am skeptical. We both very broke right now so we were trying to do this nice and simple.
Basically I am wondering if the judge will accept it.
Ok thanks for the answers. I will definitely have it and it will be notarized so I think it should be good.

Have a lawyer draw it up or at the very least have it notarized
Hand written letters arent worth the paper they are written on

If you are not in possession of that letter then this is just a stupid story. That is what a judge would say.

If her attorney is aware of it, then I do not see why not.
