Is it time for all Gamers to Demand an End to exclusive Games and Content on the Consoles?

Most of us can't afford to own all Three main Consoles

Exclusive Games and content do not Benefit the Gamers

They do not really Benefit the Games companies either

So only the BIG Console companies really benefit in any way.

In these times where few of us are spending big.. We might finally have the chance to get them to take notice.

So is it time to get Mario and Zelda on Xbox and PS3

Or Halo on the others

Update:

Mircosoft is the big Company that owns Xbox

Small companies would benefit far more if their games were available on all consoles

no. it's the exclusive that drives competition which in turn means better games. if gran turismo shows up on ms's systems, would ms have bothered to make project gotham racing or forza? if sony got gears of war and halo, would sony have made killzone, resistance, or uncharted? would littlebigplanet have been made if mario was on the ps3? maybe. maybe not. because those games are exclusive to a system, it makes the other companies make games to compete.

if there's no exclusives, then we might as well have just 1 system. do you remember what happened when there's only 1 system? do you remember the 1980s when atari was the king of the hill? everybody made games for atari. guess what happened? crappy games after crappy games and eventually gamers got tired of those games, and thus begin the dark age of video games.

the only reason we continue to have video games is that nintendo and sega pushed each other to produce better games and better systems. nintendo had the nes and the snes. sega countered with the master system and genesis. nintendo had mario while sega had sonic. they battled each other and guess who the winners are? gamers. thanks to nintendo and sega fighting for gamers, we got better games.

Competition helps the market grow, if the games were available on all platforms there would be no need for multiple consoles which would make far less competition in turn making the games industry develop much slower.

Yes they do, I bought the X-Box 360 because it has Halo, many others will/have too. Microsoft has benefited, your argument has crumbled. Microsoft also turned Bungie from a small studio into a big company with a huge reputation, so they benefited too.

That would be awesome but its not gonna happen. However Dlc is really beginning to get on my nerves especially when its available on release. ANd to the idiot who said Mario Kart is for kids: Mario is awesome, just because you don't kill people/things doesn't mean its a bad game.

I don't particually like Xbox exclusive games but they're okay. BUT who wants crappy wii games like mario kart. They're for kids.
