Apart from cleaning (bird droppings, sap from any trees) they are basically self cleaning, If they are installed on a high roof then there is little that one can do. There is however a fan unit in the inverter and if this is in a dusty environment say in a cupboard where coats are hung then it may need cleaning as this keeps the diodes cool in the unit and over heating will shorten the life. In most cases the inverter is installed in the roof area and unless it is very dusty due to not having any felt on the underside of the tiles it should require little attention once a year or longer.

Theoretically, they just need occasional cleaning.

In practice they have a limited service life.

An honest vendor will give you an estimate of this for his product.

No just a clean every now and again to ensure they get the most light.
