Physics question tension on a rope?
You have a rope going through 2 anchors that are secured to a wall. You apply force on each end of the rope (doesn't matter the angle which you pull). Will the rope ever be horizontal between the two anchors? See pic below for illustration..

Yes, the tension is the same all through the rope, so the rope takes up the 45 degree contact point on each ring and thus the rope is horizontal.
