My dad tells my sister she's pretty but he's never told me that?
My sister is tall, thin, and naturally pretty. I'm short and chubby (and an adult btw not some 10 year old who believes herself to be fat when she isn't). Growing up my father has always complimented my sister but I don't recall him ever telling me I'm beautiful, pretty, look nice, etc. I guess I'm just a little insecure about my looks because of this. I know my dad doesn't mean to do this but it hurts. I'd ust about die if I had to confront him about it (I'm not fishing for compliments). What do you all think? Opinions anyone?

Mabee your dad and your sister had some kind of father-daughter love relationship?

He probably didn't do that on purpose but it is still horrible for him to do. Im guessing that you are probably very pretty but even if you were the ugliest girl to ever walk on earth your dad should have told you that you were a very pretty girl. And to him you should have been because a father's love shouldn't be that shallow. All I can really say is that I am very very sorry you went through that.

Well, maybe it's because how you would react, maybe? And besides, everyone is beautiful. in a way. There's always the favorite child thing. Well, you have to go in depth of how your dad is, or else we would never know how's he's like, and not correctly gauge his ideas and thinking process.
