since you only said that you would just like a mid range card, for example the evga gtx 550 ti superclocked is $135, the power supply of this should only be 550w corsair +80 which is $100 since the requirement of the gtx 550 ti is only 400w, this actually might take me a long time, he,he, but to make it short i estimate it to be around $1300 bec you wanted a 24" monitor, logitech wireless keyboard and mouse is only around $30.

so in short: around $1300 for mid range card and around $1400-$1500 for high end video card(gtx 560-$200, gtx 560 ti-$250, gtx 570 - $350)

BTW : i all got these prices from newegg :D

@ ALEX, REALLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYY!!!!! there is actually a store that sell a 1TB seagate barracuda HDD for only $50 (FIFTY DOLLARS), well, you got to tell me where so that i could buy a bundle of them and sell them at the current market price.

don't you know that the cheapest seagate barracuda at newegg is a 500gb 7200rpm which is already $60? :

    Seagate Barracuda ST500DM002 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive - $60

After watching a couple Youtube videos, I ordered parts from Newegg (look at the ratings before you decide and make sure they are compatible, also look for sales and rebates). My teenage son and I put it together in less than an hour. It works fine and I have a powerful computer with highly rated parts for about $275. I figure I saved about $200 putting it together myself. For yours probably $100 more.

P.S.: I already had the software. If you don't, you will need to add this into your calculation.

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1gb SLi ($250)

PSU: CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX750watt ($100)

    Optical Drive: SAMSUNG 22X DVD/RW ($22)

you'll want the cooler for the reason which you prefer it to kick back off your cpu. additionally your motherboard ought to contain on board audio so which you do not want an added sound card. And the Seagate 320gd HDD has firmware matters which does not enable you to format it so i might recommend paying for the gb version.

It'll be about 1100 to 1200 USD give or take depending on the exact parts you get.

Newegg.com or Tigerdirect.com are good for online purchases.
