my computer requires 700w should i get 800?

    I would suggest 850+

    Always better to have head-room for future upgrades

    It doesn't hurt anything except your wallet- always good to have spare power for future upgrades... but you need a high-end computer to actually require a 700W psu. A Core i7 system with 8gb of RAM and a midrange graphics card like the Radeon HD 6870 or GTX 560 only needs a 550 watt psu.

    700 watts is enough for systems running two of those cards.

    Never exceed the amount of memory. You'll mess up your computer
