Why do people live in horrible, dangerous places?
In countries like America and the UK, there are some inner-city places which are horrible, scary places where people get knifed or shot all the time, with drug dealers and pimps and other low-lifes. Why do people stay there? Why don't people feel that they should protect their children, and just start walking, and keep walking until they reach a part of the country that is safe and nice?

1) They can't afford to move - sometimes these people barely have enough money for food, never mind moving.
2) They don't get trouble - sometimes they just don't get trouble from the 'bad' guys.
3) They're part of the problem - maybe they're causing the violence in the first place.
Honestly, people say where I live is rough but I personally don't think so, it all depends on context.

Maybe because they can't get out, you'd need money to start a new life and people that live in inner-city places might not. I don't think they live in these places by choice, and if they had the means to move i think they would

Some people don't have a choice. It may be close to their work, they may not have the money, some people may not see the danger, some people might be part of the danger, there are no houses for sale in their desired area?
I thought the answer to this question was quite simple...

You gotta have money to live in nice places. The poor in England are real poor compared to other countries. The US is in the same boat.

coz most places are not as bad as they seem
when you grow up in a bad place you learn how to cope you know who the people are not to upset you learn to keep your self to your self and not to go round blabbing your opinions about this and that.
if the guy next door beats up his wife and all hell breaks loose with the police and medics on the scene next morning over the back garden fence you do not mention it unless he brings it up

1) they can't afford to move.
2) they are used to it
3) they are the one who makes that place horrible
4) they don't like other decent places and think their residential area as the good one.
