Jehovah's Witnesses: Ideas for family worship night?

So, I might have to host a family worship night......with three other families. And they all have young children ages from 5 to 18 and i need a little help. I need ideas. Here is the out line schedule.

A. Prayer and introduction.

1. Practice singing the songs. I will be playing bass guitar.

2. Study of the book study.

3. Study of the Watchtower.

4. Reading of the bible.

5. Free discussion on whats on your mind.

B. Games for learning the truth.

I need ideas for this. I have all the suggestion the society has provided but we have done it all. We need new ideas.

C. Food, music and association.

On my menu I got, Smoked Beef Ribs, smoked Pork Ribs, steaks, hamburger, fish, pizza, spaghetti, cheese sticks, homemade mac and cheese lasgna, meatloaf, salads, coleslaw, pork barbeque, rolls, turkey, fried chicken and a ham.

For dessert we have alot of cakes cookies pies and cupcakes.

I dont know what the other families are bringing but I will be cooking everything from scratch.

Any ideas or comments are welcome. Even small ideas. My focus is to provide a warm welcoming atmosphere to my spiritual family.

Update:

Dust. By your composure, you lack of tack, your untrained worldly thinking and your use of words to disguise you spiritually starving state. You are not a brother of mines. Nice try though. I respect the copy and paste my words technique. But you failed to provide any scriptures to even try to pry me from the truth. You attack the Watchtower and call us out because we study it. Why are you holding onto your 'Carm truths'? Hypocrite? Yes. Attempt number 357 fail.

Update 2:

@jeshurun: I hear ya bro. I am trying to keep it real.

@I'm just sayin: Thank you for your comment and our home is open to all my brothers and sisters. We have tons of food for everyone!

@Mindy: Sure thing sister! Bring your bass and amp. Lol.

@The Mom: I wish i could take you all to my hall. You all are so wonderful!

Update 3:

@Thinking Pondering. So glad you mention that. I will buy arts supplies for the kids........whoa no lol i dont have any kids. My dad wants to see how well i do at organizing and taking the lead. I love children and I am seen as an example for them.

@kimberly: Thank you. I think outside the box. I know all about the boring family studies. I want to show that Jehovah loves to educate his people and have good clean fun. I am going to use your idea too! Thank you! Yea I do speak Japanese and some of the fanilies speak spanish. My lil sister speaks spanish too.

@A Zebra Striking: I like that idea! You got mail sister.

@Only one truth prevails: Brother, you would be just as welcome as my ownself. In the new system I plan to have alot of gatherings. This isnt even my house and my parents let me control it......under there eye of course.

@*notices the thumbs down on all his brothers and sisters* Really? C'mon man. I thought i had em all on block down.

@@Mindy edit: Why thank you Sist

Update 4:

@Mindy: We would have a blast. Good thing I live in the woods so we can play as loud as we would want. Lol! I am a funk, jazz, soul, and r&b player. We would have a good time. I hope yahoo dont eat this message.

Update 5:

@Mindy again: I startes to learn bass because i was thinking. When the govts take away our property. How will we sing praises to Jehovah? Then I saw that Fender Jazz bass....well it is a squier fender but whos counting lol and it just clicked....

Update 6:

@horsense your advice is on point. I love the no competition thing because that will disrupt the peace.

@I worship Jehovah: We have a sister just like that. She and her family will bring all the good healthy stuff. We are called the lumber Jack family because we eat hearty food. But we burn it all up working. Lol

Update 7:

@ Brother Alf. Thank you! A Dvd will help out greatly. I guess i am being trained for entertaining kids huh? This study will be quite a long while. Like an mini vacation from the world.

@Sister Suzy. I know. The world is so hard on us. I want the study to be positive yet stress free. Like a safe zone.

@Teller of truths: brother i have no voice on me lol. All i can do is sing along and bass. You know you are welcomed and your family.

@farrah: a drama would be so fun! My sister took drama in school, dont know why because she is already a drama queen.

    I will comment on,

    B. Games for learning the Truth. . .

    1. 'Theme Scrabble'.

    Whereas the original "Scrabble" game rules are to use only words (verbs, adverbs, nouns pronouns, adjectives, etc.) --no names allowed-- from a dictionary . . . and, to give the definition of the word when playing it. . . . 'Theme Scrabble' uses whatever book you want to use (I like using 'Aid to Bible Understanding'), allows the use of names, and instead of just defining the word (or describing the person or place) the player is required to give Scriptural information about whatever word or name they are playing.

    The game can be played with everyone in the same game using the same book/source,

    or, each person can use a book that they are personally familiar with & understand (usually best) :

    Young children can use the 'Bible Story', 'Great Teacher';

    youths might use 'Young People Ask', 'Great Teacher', 'Creation';

    new Bible students might use 'Bible Teach', 'All Scripture'; 'Book for All';

    more advanced Bible students might like to use 'Insight', 'Revelation Climax', 'Creator';

    etc. . . etc. . . etc. . .

    I grew up without each person's turn being timed, and that allowed us to really learn during our searches! So, I recommend forgoing that part of the original game completely.

    So far I haven't found anyone to play it with, but I HAVE used ALL of the tiles, using words & names only from the 'Aid' book . . . playing myself! ALSO, the other rules I have for this game are also very different from original Scrabble, such as:

    The technique I recommend is to play words/names in such a way as to keep the board open. To that end, *no* score is kept. . . The goal is *not* to get the most points, but instead, to encourage fellow players to enjoy deepening their spirituality while socializing together, *totally free* of *all* competition!

    make a list.What topics do you want to understand better? what does "born again" mean? how would you explain the prophesies about 1914 or about the time of the Messiah's coming? Sometimes just reading the experiences of some of our brothers in the magazines. Digging into the Proclaimer's book. Reading through our new publication on Acts. Maybe even examining and learning to sing the songs from our new song book? For individual study there are probably plenty of things you'd like to understand better. For me it is harder because I am a mom with a non Witness husband. so Family worship night is for me and two teenagers. What I want to study and learn more about isn't something I think will be easy to share with them. (not always anyway). Trying to plan something each week that will benefit them isn't so easy.

    Hey Lawyer, hehe...You seems to have a great plan! Here is our plan but has not been implemented yet...another couple that we know, (the husband also has a challenging work schedule), decided that it would be helpful for us as well to study together every other Wed. That is the one evening that it could work for all of us. Basically, the sister and I are not so strong into history and our husbands are, so we would like to do the Bible-highlights or similar info. By doing it every other, it will not get old and we are hoping will set up a pattern for us to continue until it becomes a habit. They say to develop a habit takes at least 7 weeks of doing what it is you want to develop.

    I did think of something rather cool!, lol A few of us should call one another on a conference call and discuss spiritual things and get to know each other. That could be a family study too!!! What do you think? Also, another idea with the kids: I love art and drawing and I learn that way better than words. Why not take a story in the Bible, explain it and then have them draw the event. Then discuss it again with the scriptures...just an idea. Your spiritual sis in Cali :)

    For the younger ones (or those who can't draw...huuhhgggmmmmm)

    use old mags and let them make a collage, w/ their pic favorites.

    all you need is some: poster boards, clue, scissors, and old magazines.

    Then, the children can tell, all about their art work----

    what it is he/she put in the collage (the pics they chose)

    and why, you know why they chose that pic., what they like about it.

    Shoot, even the parents can do one...if they like... :D

    This would fit in the category A-5.

    The food stuffs sounds yummy and all.

    But, (example) if I were there, there is hardly anything on the menu that I can eat.

    Restrictive diet. No animals products or by-products. no salt, sugar, fat.

    What I do eat Must be prepared in a healthy manner, or I can't eat it.

    No grilled chicken or fish?

    Tropical Chicken Kabobs!! Yumm-O!

    skewers, chicken chunks, can of tropical fruit, some cherry tomatoes.

    Wah-La!! (tell u my secret, marinate the chicken in italian dressing)

    if you want to add onion and/ or bell peppers--optional.

    I don't use 'em, they make me sick--migraines.

    {er'one does not have the gift of drawing :D }

    I don't read what others write before I answer so if anyone has said this, sorry.

    With the ages of the children and this being the hardest time of year for them, maybe put something in about when Jesus was born and why we don't do X-mas. They get enough junk about it in school from school mates as it is so maybe some good in put may be in order.
