Are there any Jehovah's Witnesses from Australia here...?

This is a preliminary summary only. I hope to obtain more details later.

All five cases are still within the criminal justice system. The Crown (the Office of Public Prosecutions) was also present in court via video link and contributed to the proceedings. Several members from the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses attended the hearing as observers, no doubt out of curiosity.

Legal Counsel for Jehovah's Witnesses, Sister Rachel van Witsen, an employee of Vincent Toole Solicitors, presented arguments on behalf of the following "accused":

Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania, Inc.

Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses

Faithful and Discreet Slave

A number of the legal arguments presented by the Watch Tower Society shocked the members of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses who were observing. This included that there is no Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses operating in the State of Victoria or in Australia.

Also the true legal and religious identity of the "faithful and discreet slave" was revealed. (More on this development later)

In relation to the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses, the Magistrate made recommendation that consideration be given to having each individual member of the Governing Body criminally charged. He was NOT IMPRESSED that the religion of Jehovah's Witnesses had been refusing to comply with the Working with Children Act since July 2008. He asked for an explanation as to why they refused to comply but none was offered by their legal counsel other than "it has all been sorted out."

An application was made by the Crown (the Director of Public Prosecutions) for an adjournment of the case for four weeks so that they can complete the gathering of evidence in conjunction with Victoria Police.

The next court hearing date is scheduled for November 8, 2011.

I am hoping that more information from our XJW in Australia, who commented on the last court hearing, will be forthcoming asap.

Why is everybody beating up on peacelilliy, she didn't do this, she didn't bring these charges against anyone. This is in a court of Law and it has not all been played out. Everybody will have their day in court. Everybody getting all upset and name calling is just uncalled for. Let the court argue the points out. You Jw's need to understand your words you use to denigrate or belittle us like opposers, apostates of from Christendom, when these words come from a JW we put that on as a badge of righteous. Your true colors have really shown here. No matter how you try and spin this information, it is what it is. You can't just bury your heads in the sand and beat up on everyone. That just makes you guys look even worse. Mindy you really do need to take that stick off your shoulder, it really is unbecoming. I just read (via one of the links on here, while browsing though the online discussion at that link) that everything has been posponed to January 21, 2012.

Because no one showed up at the last scheduled hearing.

I am not a JW, however, I have read their books, and go to their web sites, but have yet to visit the Kindom Hall here.

I would love it if someone could show me any data in regard to this via a JW web site or even a CNN report or a local and recent online newspaper.

And as far as the Faithful and Dscreet Slave being said to not exist...well, I doubt this would be as devastating as some would like to make it.

The attorney said it was a "theological arraingment"... ah, yeah, it is, technically.

If this story is even true, it won't even matter..

Peronaly, I am more concerned why they didn't comply with the authorities..in making sure the kids were safe, by following the rules set down.

Also am curious about this "Christian Association of Jehovah's Witnesses" Huh? Guess they had to registar as Christian..

But they are not Christians, even watchtower.org will show u this. So, I was surprised to see this as a body that is up for being sued.

And since the charged stem to the FDS, they had to give the answer Unthinks said, because if they didn't, I bet that they woud then be able to sue ever Kindom Hall and every member in them.And that's insane.

According to I know (some of my spiritual brothers now in Australia) they have to face the same troubles, for making a life, for preaching good news, for being good parents and sons, etc. The bad influences are the same here and there, and not just JW parents have to deal with. Fornication, adultery, homosexuality, luxury, etc., all sin is the same wherever, and the Bible standars are the same wherever, and Jehovah's Witnesses do apply in their lives wherever. Greetings.

As an ex JW (I was one for 50 years) and I was a Pioneer and Elder I am an Apostate and fiercely proud of that fact.

I have read some on this case. It seems to me to be more smoke and mirrors Watchtower BS. The Faithful and Discrete Slave does not exist??

It reminds me of the case in the 1980's when the entire JW Congregation in Bonham, Texas seceded from the Witnesses and in doing so claimed the Kingdom Hall as their property. The interesting thing is that in this case the Watchtower Society claimed the hall on the basis that they were a hierarchical organization.

Funny, but up until that time the Watchtower Society had continue to claim that they had no clergy distinction, and thus no hierarchy. The Society had always took the position that they were a "congregational" organization and not a hierarchical organization.

What happened in Bonham, Texas when the body of elders and the majority of the congregation decided to leave the Watch Tower organization? For the first time in its history the Watch Tower Society made two important arguments:

First, they were now a Hierarchical like the Catholic Church, with the Governing Body, Branches Overseers, District Overseers, Circuit Overseers, and Elders appointed by the Society.

Second, The Society as a hierarchy, therefore, had the rightful title to the Kingdom Hall. This was a serious departure from all their previous claims, and is among the many issues that impressed upon me that the Society was no longer what it claimed to be.

The result? The Society lost because the Bonham congregation was able to prove that the Society was a historically a ‘congregational’ organization, and as such had no legal title or interest recorded on the deed. The Society was unable to establish legal interest.

So, another legal weasel maneuver by the masters of making "the truth" whatever serves their purpose.

EDIT SUZY: I asked a Witness recently "What if God or an Angel appeared to you and told you that the Catholic religion was the correct one and to please Jehovah you should be a Catholic?"

His answer: "I'm sticking with the Brothers in Brooklyn"

This is the simple law that God Almighty has told Jehovah's Witnesses to obey, as through the "Authorities";

"The Parliament of Victoria have stated that the main purpose of the Working with Children laws “is to assist in protecting children from sexual or physical harm by ensuring that people who work with, or care for, them have their suitability to do so checked by a government body.”

Jehovah's Witnesses have disobeyed God, by snubbing their noses at the government.

Ex-members of this group can thank Jesus for allowing them to escape the plagues that are preparing to cascade onto this stiff-necked people.

JW's customarily go into denial when anything is exposed to the light.

They try to bury the widespread paedophilia cases among their group,

and all this talk of Rutherford's exoneration appear to be nothing more

than wishful "talk".

A "teaching elder" who used to come to my door peddling JW dogma

came back to see me a couple of years later, to let me know he was

now a born again, saved Christian. I could see his countenance before

he even said a word - like a load had lifted from his shoulders, but even

better was the fact that 24 other members had come out with him and

stepped into the light.

Perhaps the outcome of this current case my help release more. It's a

tragedy that so many are led to believe Jesus and His apostles didn't

know the correct doctrine when His church was established, back in

the first century... as if the world had to wait for Charles Russell !! LOL

God (Jehovah) was manifested in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16) and came

to us incarnate in Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:19 / Colossians 2:9)

He made that plan clear enough in the books of the Old Testament:~

Jesus verified it:~

. . . and Jesus said: "you shall be witnesses to me.." (Acts 1:8)

Interesting. So the next time a Jehovah's Witness starts going on about the faithful and discreet slave and submitting to direction, I can point out the faithful and discreet slave does not exist!

I too have few people blocked. Would you mind telling me who the "serial reporters" are maybe if I block these individuals the "reporting" will end.

Poor Mindy! Sounds like she is brainwashed. Jehovah Witnesses contradict their own bible. It is obvious.

The Jehovah's Witnesses assert that Jerusalem was destroyed by the Babylonians in 607 BC. This date is critical to their selection of 1914 for the arrival of Christ in kingly power and 1918 as the year when Jesus entrusted the anointed members of the faithful and discreet slave class to care for all his Kingdom interests here on earth. Without the 607 date, this whole chronological structure collapses together with the claim that Jehovah's Witnesses are God's sole representative on earth today.

Carl Olof Jonsson crushes the 607 date completely by force of historical, irrefutable physical evidence and arrives at the one true conclusion: The Watch Tower Society is in error about the 607 date and by claiming divine selection turns out to be guilty of false prophecy.

2 Cor 11:13-15 "God's messengers?" They are counterfeits of the real thing, dishonest practitioners masquerading as the messengers of Christ. Nor do their tactics surprise me when I consider how Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is only to be expected that his agents shall have the appearance of ministers of righteousness, but they will get what they deserve in the end.

Let me understand this: the person bringing this lawsuit is concerned that the adult men could be having sex with the children while driving or pulling over to the curb and so on & so forth- what the heck is going on in Australia? We are honestly talking about SWD..Sex while driving? ... now that is one sick puppy!

Half the jw responding know nothing about the case, the other half wish to keep their heads buried deeply in the sand. Perhaps if they do not see it, it will go away.

Reality check! This case is a current event. It is in the news. So jw think that such new events are to be ignored, no one is allowed to seek information as to the status of the case? Just how does that fit into being promoters of the 'truth'. HIde any truth that may have a negative impact on the cult? Yeah that is exactly what cult members try and do. Right or wrong our beliefs are above questioning and no one is allowed access to our inner workings. So typical of mind numbed robots in fear of the light of real truth.

Your responses to peacelilly continue to show Jehovah's Witnesses have no idea what Jesus description of the personalities of his followers would be.

If you stand on the world stage and point to yourselves as the 'light of the world' then you better be prepared to prove it by your fine works. You jw here on YA fail miserably at showing a bright shine of light, instead you call down evil and speak degrading of anyone who does not see your dim light of so-called good works of going from door to door. It means nothing when your personalities display such hatred and ill will toward those not convinced you have anything even close to 'the truth'.

@ btw the cutesy, wink, wink, sarcastic comments that some brand new jw employ to vent their own pent up anger toward anyone who does not agree, gets old really fast. Seems like it would be a real blessing for a mature fellow witness to pull that rookie jw aside and help them see just how unattractive that sort of display really is.
