What kind of military style rifle should I buy?

My budget is $500-$800

I've shot plenty but I have a hard time deciding on a military style semi-auto rifle

I've looked at AK's, SKS's, AR's

What military style gun would be good in my price range?

$500 to $800?........ You sound as if this will be the only rifle you will ever buy...... Think long term.... Buy them all = I did....

Just pick one and stop making a big deal about the decision.... just get an AR15.... Then sometime next year get and AK.....

totally computerized weapons are puzzling to get. you're able to desire to get a license, pay a value, bypass a historic past verify and get a signed letter from the police chief or sheriff. The weapons had to have been criminal for civilian possession in the past 1986. expenses start up at $6000 and bypass way up. The weapons you're touching on as attack weapons are semi computerized rifles that have a military visual charm. they are routinely same to different weapons with looking form seems. the real difference is those rifles have been demonized based on the way they look. The gun grabbers try this so they do no longer might desire to return out say they decide for to confiscate all firearms, They let us know they only decide for to restrict the undesirable ones. they only decide for to take those that are too frightening looking or are Saturday nighttime Specials, weapons that are 2 decrease priced or fill interior the sparkling. one via one they ban the undesirable ones till they have stripped your gun rights away to the factor that they might all bypass. BTW i exploit an AR 15 to shield my abode.

You got to decide if you want a good long range bolt action or an assult rifle.

heres some ones i think are good

    bolt action remmington 700 $-700-$800

assult rifle where im from a good ar15 is $1200, but if you put a scope on it then that would be awsome

    mini 14 $800

    ak 47 $600

You should be able to find a good quality used AR15 style rifle for $800 or less. That is what I would recommend you get first. Then look at the AK clones.

sks will be in the 250 to 300 price range the ak-47 is in your price range but the ak's are prone to crappy craftsmanship so personally i would go with the AR-15 these are fun guns and easy to swap back and forth to a .22 so i think you will get the most enjoyment out of a AR-15

I would get a AK-47, you could get one for under your price range, which leaves you more money to buy more guns!!! With that extra cash you could get a mosin nagant and even a SKS.. good luck!

The AR is by far superior and you can get a decent one about your price range.

$800 puts you just under the price range of decent ARs, like the Spikes Tactical ST-15 M4 LE: http://www.spikestactical.com/new/z/st15-m4-le-car... , but it puts you just in the range of the Arsenal SGL-21 : http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=F1ASGL... (if you ignore transfer fees).
