The only way to get rid of it without meds is to stop eating those foods. Just because you don't want to hear it, doesn't mean that's not the truth. Stop eating the damn foods. They're not good for you anyway.

I don't have an ulcer, but I have other digestive system problems that cause uncomfortable symptoms like these. You basically have a choice to make. Since most ulcers are curable, you can use medication and stop eating the foods that cause irritation long enough for the ulcer to heal is the healthiest option, but it doesn't sound like one you are interested in. Or you could take a pill each day and not change your diet, and see if this helps your ulcer. Another choice is to simply cut down on those foods, and see if there is improvement in your ulcer. You may be able to get your stomach healed enough to eat them with fewer consequences, although without any medication, this is unlikely. Or, you can fore-go the medication, eat what you want, and deal with the way it makes you feel.

I know that it sounds mean, but I know from experience that if the doctors tell you a certain type of food will make you sick because of a problem in your digestive system, often they are right. I have actually ended up in the hospital after eating broccoli, soon after I was diagnosed with my condition and didn't understand how serious the doctor was about not eating vegetables.

I wish you the best of luck and hope that you are able to find a balance between the fun tasty foods and getting healthy.
