How much running will lead to muscle loss..?
I am a 156 lb, 5'9" 15 year old "bodybuilder in the making". On Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays I lift for an hour and a half, followed up by ab exercises. Everyday (even after I lift), I run 20 minutes & burn around 300-400 calories. The only reason I run is to stay conditioned for sports at school & maintain my weight (I eat anywhere from 2200-3000 calories a day). I also believe it improves my physique. Is this constant running causing muscle loss..? Because it seems like I am making progress VERY slowly. I am also on a Whey Protein that I take (one scoop w/water) post-workout.

depends on ur goals.. ur going to have more trouble gaining muscle when u do excess cardio because its taking away from ur calories used to build muscle... so u either have to eat 400 more calories a day cuz thats how many u think ur burning, or stop ur cardio... u gotta have a caloric surplus to gain mass cuz thats the only way ur body will grow.
i suggest cutting back the cardio to high intensity periods for cardiovascular condition roughly 10-20 mins after warm up, and eat more calories durring the day

If your not getting the recommended amount of protein you need each day. You lose muscle mass. Your body breaks down your muscles for protrin. That is why its essential to eat foods high in protein. Its hard sometimes, so its good to have protein shakes if you cant meet the recommended amount of protein each day. Since your jogging, your going to need more protein. To find out how much protein you need per day, multiply 1.2 x how much pounds you weigh.
