Hey guys, I just wanted to ask something. I've always wanted to skateboard. I tried to skate several times before but it never worked. Two years ago I tried really hard but was too anxious and quit. I could only ollie a little. I was also very out of shape then, and since then have lost a lot of weight and gained a ton of muscle. Today I skated for the first time since then, and I landed about 13 decent ollies (out of about 60 tries). Should I keep trying? I just want to have fun landed tricks with friends. Or will I never be good enough.

I am a 156 lb, 5'9" 15 year old "bodybuilder in the making". On Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays I lift for an hour and a half, followed up by ab exercises. Everyday (even after I lift), I run 20 minutes & burn around 300-400 calories. The only reason I run is to stay conditioned for sports at school & maintain my weight (I eat anywhere from 2200-3000 calories a day). I also believe it improves my physique. Is this constant running causing muscle loss..? Because it seems like I am making progress VERY slowly. I am also on a Whey Protein that I take (one scoop w/water) post-workout.

I started playing this freshman year for high school. I'm not very good, but i love to play. never played before, other than little league (which i hated). will i eventually get as good as my friends? im showing signs of improvement and plan on playing all 4 years of HS

Hi, I'm 14, and I want to start a band. I have been playing bass & guitar for 5 years, and have equipment to be in a band that could gig (locally). I live in a medium sized town with plenty of people with good taste in music, but not many musicians. The only musicians here like old school metal (Metallica, Megadeath, etc) or Green Day. A few of my friends and I had a cool hardcore band (Acacia Strain, ADTR, etc) goin on but now both of them have jobs & can't practice. We sounded really good. I've posted tons of ads on craigslist, added people on facebook.. How do I find a band to stick with, or at least musicians to jam with?

I BMX more than skateboard, btw

I just started skateboarding 2 months ago. I have only practiced moving around and picking up speed, so now I'm very good at cruising on my skateboard and turning and stopping and the rest of that stuff. I can go pretty fast. But after watching Mike V and Chad Muska, I think it's time to learn some tricks, so I thought I'd start with the ollie. I watched tons and tons of "How to Ollie" videos with pro skaters, and I know every single step of doing an ollie. I can do everything fine, except the part when I have to bring the side of my foot up to the nose of the board (and landing). When I try to bring my foot up, it either goes off of the board or I just jump off the board and land on my butt without the skateboard leaving the ground. What's wrong with what I'm doing? I practice the ollie almost every single day but it's so hard!

I don't want to pay TOO much for a skateboard, but I'd like something that will last me awhile....I'm a total beginner.

I'm 12 years old and interested in DJ-ing as a side hobby. I was looking at getting the Hercules Mobile DJ MP3 Wireless DJ Controller...something cheap I can easily plug into my laptop. Will I be able to play a song/beat, and scratch? That's all I'm interested in. Thanks!!!

I have several problems that require me to put y by itself on one side.

I want a problem like this:

y= 3x+2 (example)

But I have some questions that give me this:

3x+y=-4 (example)

How do I move y to one side?

I need a tube amp.

It needs to be at least loud enough to be heard over drums. (30 watts?)

It needs to sound good for blues and rock.

It needs to be cheap, under $300, an amount of money that I can save up for over the summer.
