Good youth group study on abstinence.?
I'm looking for a youth group study on abstinence. Preferably one that separates the boys and girls at first and then concludes with them all together. Any length would work, but a 6-8 week course would be perfect. Any suggestions would be great!!
Ok, there is some confusion to this. This is not FOR me. A church I go to is just starting to get the youth group going again and because I've had involvement in the past with youth groups, they are asking me to lead it until they can get an actual youth pastor. I'm looking for a study to start with the teens.

So you're looking for a course that, for the first 4-6 weeks, boys and girls are separated so they could be taught 1) the correct way to abstain and 2) the many various incorrect ways to abstain. Then for the final two weeks throw them together for a comprehensive test. Hope you have faith in your teachers. Failing the final could be disastrous.

Start with Church groups to see how it's going to go, then expand to high schools.
Side note: A 12 year old girl that lives here in Atlanta just gave birth to a set of twins. She knew nothing about sex or getting pregnant and the 16 year old boy that fathered the twins never heard abstinence. A program like your could have saved both of them. Now there's 2 boys hooked in with a 12 year old mother who knows nothing about being a mother. DFCS is involved in the case. The girl was in 7th grade. Now she has to repeat.

Abstinence is about self control and moral; in the real world don't expect to be separate and segregated to avoid situations.

There have been several studies showing abstinence doesnt work. If you dont believe me, then check out the video the education of shelby knox someday.
