  • What foods are typical to underdeveloped countries.?

A youth group is getting ready to host a dinner to help raise hunger awareness. The way it works is people will pay $6 for a plate that represents one of 5 countries. Each country will fall into one of the 5 nourishment ratings provided by the World Food Programme. What I want to find out is a typical meal for a family that would fall into one of those ratings. 1 being least undernourished and 5 being greatest. Anyone do anything like this before or been to one? The countries used are:

    1. US

    2. Brasil

    3. China

    4. India

    5. Ethiopia (or Haiti).

While I am able to find out what the specific cuisines are for that area, I'm unable to find out what the less fortunate are forced to eat every day. So any help would be greatly appreciated, or at least a point in the right direction

  • Good youth group study on abstinence.?

I'm looking for a youth group study on abstinence. Preferably one that separates the boys and girls at first and then concludes with them all together. Any length would work, but a 6-8 week course would be perfect. Any suggestions would be great!!

  • Where can I order a large hibachi grill like the ones used in a professional restaurant?

I was at a nice hibachi restaurant with family the other day and really liked the idea of the hibachi grill. After scouring the internet all I could find was a small charcoal thing, similar to a normal American BBQ grill. I've searched multiple Asian restaurant suppliers and still find a table top version. I'm looking for a full sized one to install in my own home.

I know they are recommended for commercial use, however I've been cooking for quite a few years (9) and don't really think there is a danger outside of what is normally connected to any type of open flame cooking.

Does anyone know where I can get more information about ordering one of these full scale grills or at least point me in the right direction?

  • Tuxedo Style?

Back in highschool, for prom I rented this jet black tuxedo. The jacket was a 3/4 length jacket with one button right up by the neck and the rest of it was open. Now, many years later, I'm trying to find that same style and can't remember what it was called. Also a friend wore a similar jacket that buttoned down the right side of the coat and i believe was a 3/4 lenght jacket also. Anyone know what these are called or know of a site that sells them?

  • Office 2007 on XP?

One of the computers where I work is using Office 2007 on Windows XP. Everything seems to work fine save for one hitch: Outlook 2007 keeps downloading duplicate emails. I've disabled AV, increased server time outs, removed any messages through telnet and created new accounts. The only thing I have not done is reinstall Office 2007 as the company is unable to find the installation CD's.

Anyone run across this before or have any other ideas?

  • Car Apparal Business Name?

A friend of mine has her own business selling pretty much classic car apparel. However, she does do some newer things like the new Mustang and the camaro concept car. However, she doesn't want to continue using her name for the business name. Does anyone have any ideas for a good name?

  • Audacity Replacement?

Currently, the church I help out at uses Audacity to record the sermons. This has been working well. However, I'd like to make some changes and I don't believe Audacity can do this. I want to start creating individual tracks for each of the worship songs, allowing people who are listening to the CD to skip back and forth. I know with Audacity I can do this by stopping and starting, then exporting each track as an MP3 and then burning them. However, when you do this, Audacity exports them in mono format allowing for only playback in either a right or left speaker.

So, what I'm looking for is another software (free or cheap) that will allow me to record the service and make stereo based tracks for the CD recording.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • Winlogon.exe?

While doing a virus scan on one of my employees computers, I came across a virus on the Winlogon.exe file. I've done a little bit of research and realize that this file is critical for the windows systems.

Is it possible to just replace this file somehow. I'm looking for a way to fix it without a reformat as there is a ton of information on the system and backing things up would greatly slow down production

  • Amateur Fishing Question?

So - I just started out fishing. I'm brand new and chances are that if any seasoned fisher saw me, he'd laugh at my gear. But anyways, the question I have is about the equipment I need.

There are two locations I fish at, one is a pretty big size lake and the other is a series of small ponds. Since they are enclosed there is no currents and the ponds have small islands scattered throughot them. Inside these locations are Blue Gill, Crappie, Catfish and Trout mainly. So, the question is what would be the best kind of bait?

Currenty I use nightcrawlers, this lure called a torpedo, garlic salmon eggs, a couple spooners, and some small spinners. Also - are you supose to put bait on the lures even though you are constantly reeling them in?

Sorry for the pretty dumb question, but again - this is probably my 2nd time fishing in like 10 years.

  • Video Projection?

The church I work at is looking to mount a video projector in the back of the sanctuary. Ideally they want to project videos, media shout presentations, etc across the room to the projection screen up front. However, the one they use now is quite cheap and the zoom isn't strong enough to fit the projection onto the screen (instead it takes up half the wall).

They have some money in their budget for a new projecor and maybe a lense if needed. Anyone know of a good setup that will project a good distance while still keeping the area tight enough to fit on the screen?

  • File Sharing Rant?

Ok - so this is more of a rant, but I'm curious who out there is in aggreement.

I spend a lot of my time in the Photography section and notice every third person talking about how they are using Photoshop CS2 to add text to an image and it get's me rather irate. I've been using (and buying) Photoshop since 2.0 (when i was a beta user). I've spent a lot of time and money learning how to use it and getting all of my adobe certifications. However, now with file sharing, anyone can get Photoshop and brag to people they know how to use it or that they have it. What once was a professional resource is now available to the personal user. This is true with other programs out there such as Adobe Dreamweaver (and various audio / video editors too wich i really know nothing about).

How do you feel about this? From a professional standpoint - do you get irritated when the average home user can brag about using the same products you use and you paid for?

  • Internet Cafe'?

I'm getting ready to start an Internet cafe'. I have the hardware knowledge to build a nice LAN setup (maybe WAN if I can get my other location going). However, what I lack is the software knowledge.

What I am looking for is a good software to monitor all the systems from a centralized point and monitor user usage.

Also, it would be helpful if there are any central game licensing companies instead of me purchasing the licenses through each individual manufacturer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Suicide Watch?

Throughout the past year or so, washed up singer Brittney Spears has gone from one stupid act to another. Whether it's something as simple as her recent head shave or amusing relationship with K-Fed.

Do you believe that within the next year you will see something about an attempted suicide from this has-been?

  • Problems with electric blanket?

My wife and I own a dual-controlled electric blanket.

It normally works great however, lately the control that adjusts the temperature on her side after 2 - 3 mins starts flashing and never warms her side up. My side (which branches off her control) works just fine.

While it is flashing - I can't turn that control on or off. I have to unplug the entire blanket and then plug it back in.

Any ideas as to what is wrong?

  • Should this person be banned?

We all know that Yahoo! is a Questions and Answer site. Plain and simple. When we ask a question we expect a legitamite (sp?) responce in return. Now occasionally we get a responce that is pointless or immature and that's expected. However, I believe that after a certain point, a person should be either warned or banned from this site.

    Case in point: good_picasa

This user has blatently advertised the Google Picasa software on 127 different posts. And of those posts the Picasa software really only applies to maybe 2 of them. So, this is roughly 125 breaches of the Yahoo! Answers Terms of Service, by one person.

Do you believe this person should be banned? Why or why not?

  • Low Pressure After Hot Water Tank Install?

i just helped a friend replace his old cracked, electric hot water tank. Everything was pretty much the same except for one pipe which we replaced that went from the electric hot water tank out to a shut off valve.

After we finished, we turned the electric tank on and opened up the valve that goes from a smaller tank into the hot water tank. However, now there is no pressure build up. Nothing is leaking and the tank sounds like it's filling up. Any ideas?
