Since the story about Newt Gingrich divorcing his dying wife has be debunked is it time for us to ask the?
media, "What else are you lying to us about?" His first wife is not dead, she never had cancer and she is the one who sought the divorce.
Here is what her daughter has to say about it:
My mother and I have both recently run into quite a few people who hold an inaccurate understanding of this hospital visit. Many think my mother is dead.
Mom went to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta for surgery to remove a tumor. While she was there, Dad took my sister and me to see her.
It is this visit that has turned into the infamous hospital visit about which many untruths have been told.
My mother and father were already in the process of getting a divorce, which she requested.
Dad took my sister and me to the hospital to see our mother.
She had undergone surgery the day before to remove a tumor.
The tumor was benign.
As with many divorces, it was hard and painful for all involved, but life continued."

Since it is apparent the Newt detractors cannot defend their position and choose, instead, to bring up over 80 "ethics violations", you have proven my point. Who was making all of those ethics charges? Would you believe Nancy Pelosi and her fellow Democrats? How many of those charges were proven true? Answer, one and it was pretty much a gray area involving whether the current rules (not laws) allowed Professor Gingrich to use some of his campaign funds to pay for an American History class he was teaching.
See? What else are they lying to you about?

You can ask the Liberal media, but they would just lie and make up some other story..
BTW the 84 ethic charges? They were ALL dismissed as they were proven false and started by Pelosi who was doing it for political reasons.

She had uterine cancer and was in the hospital having a hysterectomy at the time he gave her the divorce papers to sign. Many people survive cancer. And they go on to have other tumors that are benign.
Yes, the divorce had been planned for some time, it wasn't a surprise, but still what kind of man does that to a woman he once loved, he couldn't wait a week for the papers to be signed?
Sure it was hard, Newt had been having an affair with the woman he who would become his second wife. That's a good reason for her to want a divorce. You might also want to check into how he left her financially. Which might be one reason the story got changed between when Newt was forced to leave office and now.
I wouldn't want to believe my dad was that insensitive either, but Newt just floats on doesn't he?
There is no lie about the fact he had ethics problems to the tune of three hundred thousand dollars, or that he's had two affairs while married and two divorces. Its public record. That Newt then said it was patriotism that made him have his affair is reason enough, right out of his own mouth for him to be kicked to the curb.
I have to say, having been around at the time of Newts first spate of problems that the story that came out years ago was probably more accurate.

And yet, in 1984, the woman he divorced, Jackie Battley, told the Washington Post that the divorce was a complete surprise to her. Newt was already have an affair with Marianne Ginther. Jackie said that, In September 1980, Newt and the kids visited her while she was in the hospital, recovering from surgery, where Newt wanted to discuss the terms of their divorce.
Which is more credible? A contemporary account (backed up with evidence that Newt was already having an affair). Or the memories, over 31 years later, of someone who was a child then?

Some of the details have been clarified on the story but the base remains the same and true.
The first wife did have surgery for what was thought to be a cancerous tumor.
Newt had been having a lengthy affair with one of his staffers prior to the divorce from wife #1
Newt did bring divorce papers to be signed to her hospital room.
And I'm sure the story Newt told his children had plenty of sugar coating on it.

His first wife did have cancer at the time of their divorce. Whether she was "dying" or not is up for interpretation. Even if he did divorce his dying wife, he wouldn't be the first Presidential candidate to do so (John Edwards anyone?). I think Newt has far bigger skeletons than this in his closet that make him unelectable in a national election.

Too bad, I mean I liked the idea that he was able to cut his losses and move on, making opportunities for a better life for himself and pass along to the nation if elected instead of being dragged down by some by-gone guilt that is used by a few to control the US.
Oh well, business as usual now I guess.

I suppose we could ask why obongo's maternal grandmother died very shortly - suspiciously shortly - after he visited her. She was the one person who knows the truth about who his father was, where he was born, and what citizenship he renounced. Did obongo kill his grandmother, the "typical white woman"?

Yes, lets instead ask why was he publically ripping on clinton for cheating on his wife at the same time he was doing the same thing.
Or we shold ask how much fannie and freddie paid him.
Or the ethcis violations.

Soooo...he didn't divorce his dying wife?
I'm pretty sure he did...
She was dying at the time.
And whether she wanted it or not is irrelevent...he was still banging some other chick.
