Why don't people follow the rules?

I come on here to answer questions thinking I might be able to help some people, I also have USA questions only, because I don't know what laws or conditions are like in another country. So why do some many people come on this forum and ask about everything other than marriage and divorce? Why is every other question re-posted from India? Why bother with some of the questions that are re-posted at least once a week, and sometimes once or twice a day? Guess this is more of a rant about marriage and divorce section, and it really shouldn't be on here, but what the heck no one else follows the rules why should I?

People seem to think this forum is like the Delphi Oracle, about to provide some magic solution to life's problems, when really they need to look inside.

I really hadn't noticed the India thing. Can't you just flag that it's a USA only question? I have noticed the reposting but just put this down to people being really anxious for a response, and as we know some people are just searching for the answer they want and that's not necessarily the right answer. Don't give up on the forum - just take the good with the bad.

Your question is multifold but I will try to cover most of it with what I believe are some of the answers,

    - People may just post their questions under wrong categories

    - People from some non Western ( so called third world countries) sometimes believes that the level or knowledge of people from the West is very high and therefore where they don't get an answer, they re post the question with the hope that at least one of the answers from and Western person would give them the solution they seek.

    - Some questions may be relevant to two or more categories and it would clever to post them in all the appropriate categories so that one gets the perspective from who ' specialise' in answering in their categories which will be different from someone specialising in the same subject matter that is contained in the question but from a different specialisation category where the question is still perspective. For example there may be an an emotional psychological problem and a legal problem posed in the same relationship scenario, and therefore the asker may post the same question in two different categories.

I think you are taking the concept of the "rules" a bit far. Just relax and be you. Those you support your way of life will. You should not even be thinking about whether or not people move away, and how that affects who you are. If that is the case, then you are not as strong as you think you are. Bottom line: work on your grounding...and being so strong in faith that other people have no bearing on whether or not you maintain your morals or not. It's entirely in your hands my dear. Also, don't get caught up in rules. We are here to make mistakes and learn from them. The key is staying faithful in the end.

Because Y!A doesn't consistently enforce the rules. Everything's arbitrary.

Source(s): I get violated and insulted when I post a "rant" like this. Case in point: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=201112...

Lippie, I hear you... Hindu, Asians and Muslims are the majority on the face of Earth. So I guess, as long as we allow it, they will dictate the rules...
