Christians: Was it really important for you to celebrate Jesus's birthday yesterday?
First: Was it really important for you to celebrate Jesus's birthday yesterday? More so than to celebrate a friend's birthday?
Second: Exactly how old is he now (i.e., what age did he turn on this birthday)?
If they know when his birthdate was, surely they know how old he is. Especially if they believe it important to celebrate.
Jay Z, you're looking very pale these days.

His human form was 9 months old on His birthday.
And Christmas pales in comparison to Easter.
Even in Eastern Orthodox churches, - your 'name day' is celebrated more-so that your birthday.

Good question--it's given me cause to think. Why celebrate it just one day? Sure, there's the giving of gifts and all (something my wallet could not afford to do every day of the year), but if He's is the most important one in my life, then maybe it's not about celebrating on one special day once a year, but by celebrating Him as Savior every day of my life. I hope any Christian in your life would strive to do this (I know we have a tough time of it because we're far from perfect).
Maybe it's this though--we celebrate His birth on that one specific day because it signifies the gift God gave to humankind through the life of His Son. Maybe in light of that, Christians need to celebrate Christmas with Him as the focus, much like you would celebrate a friends birthday with that friend as the focus.
Finally, as for how old He is exactly, you'd need more of a scholar to answer that, especially since most people believe he wasn't actually born on the 25th of December . . . but since the calendar most westerners use is based on the number of years since Jesus' birth, I'd say 2011.
I agree w/ the first person (MK6) who responded, though--Easter is the more important holiday for us. Sorry I wrote a book :P I can't help it when talking about things I love!

<<Christians: Was it <snip> a friend's birthday?>>
Of course it was important!
<<Second: Exactly how old is he now (i.e., what age did he turn on this birthday)?>>
Jesus was born around 4ad. Do the math. But that only measures the length of time Jesus was on this earth. In reality, Jesus is God and God has existed forever. Therefore, "age" is irrelevant to Jesus.
<<If they know <snip> important to celebrate.>>
That's not as important as you think.
It's not necessary to know exactly how old someone is, in order to celebrate one's birthday.
It's not even necessary to know the exact date, in order to celebrate one's birthday.
Getting the date right, even the age. . . it's irrelevant really.

Jesus Birthday is as important to us Christians as Easter(His Ascension to the Father) For He died for our Sins. and defeated Death. To calculate His age now in the Flesh, Probably 2044. Give or take a week or two.

There is more joy in Jesus in one day.
Than there is in the World 365/24/7
I know, I tried them both.

1st - Not even the bible talks about when Jesus was exactly born, and No to me its not important to celebrate it since its not written on the bible.
2nd - Jesus died when he was 33 years old, but the calendar is different from back then.

In south america, were people have a lot more interaction with other people. It's very important to remember "anonymous people" who service you.
Mailman, Garbageman, Cleaning lady, Whatchman (we have 3 people, 1 every 8hrs), Company workers, important clients, and of course relatives.
No time to remember jesus!
The less time you dedicate to REAL people, the more time you dadicate to imaginary people (Jesus)

The date is unimportant, the celebration is for the fulfillment of the promise, the Incarnation.
