Is my boyfriends son going to be okay..?

First of all i want to say i am so sorry to hear about the little boy's health. Low white blood cell count and low iron are very easy for doctors to fix, pneumonia may be more difficult, but in no way should be terrible. any doctor will be able to help your baby get back to perfect health!

hi his baby should be okay, obviously I do not know his full medical history, as long as he has no under-laying health issues he stands a good chance of a speedy recovery, they will probably have him in hospital because he is so young, Pneumonia is an infection in the lungs and causes swelling which can restrict breathing so he'll probably need an oxygen supply for a while until the antibiotics begin to work. If he has low iron he will be given some iron supplements, it could be from not having enough milk in his diet and also low white blood cell count is not bad at this point, the antibiotics will boost his white blood cells anyway so his count should rise.. I think he will be okay. My little brother had it as a new born and he was fine :)

I'm very sorry to hear about your boyfriend's little boy! The low white blood count means that his body's means to fight off infection is reduced. They will need to find out why that is the case, but that could be why he got pneumonia. A low iron level can be treated with medication.

It sounds like he's a sick little guy, but it's probably not life threatening.
