spiritually speaking do we Americans really care about each other?

We are facing possible blackouts and maybe no electricity in Kansas. I was told it is our fault we deserve it for not getting up to emission standards in 5 months when all other states were given 5 years. As individuals what can we do and how are we responsible? We are willing to pay for our electricity delivered safely to our homes. They have not asked the people to help with the funding. I was thinking to move out of the state, but maybe I should move out of the whole country. If they do it in Kansas it is just a start to doing it nationally. Does anyone really care? About the children, about the elderly here? Won't it show the world that we are a weak country, divided against itself? How can people be so heartless?

    You lose power and you ask if Americans really care? Drama queen much?

    Source(s): Why do the children and the elderly need power more than anyone else? The answer is they don't, they probably need it less, you just wanted to appeal to peoples emotions.
